Great Museum & Theatre getaway

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel in a great location for major museums, art galleries and theaters. We enjoyed being able to walk to most of the major art galleries and museums in the immediate area. Being close to the underground meant we were able to access Heathrow airport with the greatest of ease making being car less was a joy. No worries about parking and Congestion Charge.

Location!

The location of this hotel is great - right on the Thames, almost directly across from the london eye. We easily walked to the palace, london eye, big ben, and more. Hop on tour stop was very close too. Service was nice but there were a few underhanded comments that I was less than pleased about you wouldn't want to walk to THAT (because we are fat americans and it was 1/2 mile). Regardless, the location and view was worth it and I would recommend it based on those alone.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay at The Royal Horseguards. The room itself was very nice and clean. Its very close to everything. Short walk to The Underground, Big Ben, National Rail and Westminster Abbey. Close to a lot of other things as well but those were all within a couple blocks. Would highly recommend.

Great location, great hotel

We have stayed in the Royal Horseguards for 3 nights in May 2015. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of everything in London. Walking distance to many attractions (London Eye, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square...). The staff is extremely friendly, attending to any needs we had. Concierge service is supreme, the decoration of public area is fantastic, and in general, a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious, but the bed was a bit narrow, and located in a niche in the room. The bed itself, though, was very comfortable. The room had office facilities, including electric outlets for all countries, flat TV with connection to a computer, iphone dock (although of the older, ihpone4 connection type, which did not match our newer iphone), and coffee/tea making separate table, that full made us happy. The room was really clean all the time, including mid-day cleanups. The bathroom was spotless as well.

Perfect location, stunning, room was spectacular

The room was absolutely stunning with a view of the Thames, marble bath, location was ideal and so easy to get anywhere. Service was fine, nothing to complain about but definitely no one going out of their way (I carried my own luggage to my room strangely). Otherwise, just a perfect way to enjoy London.
