Economical boutique hotel with free Wi-Fi, mini-kitchen in every room

The self-proclaimed "luxury budget" The Nadler Kensington provides conveniences and amenities more typically associated with higher rated and priced properties. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour reception and concierge services attend to your every need. There are additional indulgences -- complimentary Keiji aromatherapy toiletries, complimentary fair trade tea and coffee, and mini-kitchen -- and all in a coveted Kensington location that is within easy access to many of London's top sites and attractions.

Highlights
  • Free Wi-Fi and mini-kitchens in every room
  • Flexible booking terms -- cancellations and changes up to two days prior to arrival
  • 24-hour reception and concierge service
Rooms

The value and facilities for each room at the The Nadler Kensington are more typically associated with higher rated properties and include air conditioning, mini-kitchen with microwave and refrigerator, complimentary fair trade tea and coffee, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies, workstation, complimentary aromatherapy toiletries, in-room safe and hairdryer.

Features

With services and facilities requiring its own hotel classification, the "luxury budget" The Nadler Kensington provides affordable luxury to its guests, with a no-surprises price guarantee that is based on full transparency. Value added tax is included in each room price, and freebies like Wi-Fi and upscale toiletries are welcome amenities.

While there's no on-site restaurant, bar or fitness room, the hotel's friendly staff will point out the special rates they've secured at nearby facilities. What the hotel lacks in a la carte facilities it more than makes up for in affordable room rates. While the rooms are priced affordably, they by no mean skimp on amenities offering air conditioning, mini-kitchen and flat-screen TV. Finally, each room includes a "base director" that offers an interactive on-screen guide to nearby services and facilities, allowing travelers to find suitable options that appeal to both taste and budget.

5 star hotel for 3 star price

Awesome! Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are nice and have free wifi and Nespresso.... only reason this is a 4 star hotel is because it does not have a grand lobby and restaurant - however, if you are like me and spend most of your time in central London outside the hotel then this place is just perfect. Earl's court metro close by, piccadilly line direct to Heathrow, plenty of good stuff within walking distance. Ideal!

Definitely Near the Top for London

Start with the fact that London hotels are quite expensive. If you are willing to pay just a little more than you have to get an OK room by London hotel standards, the Nadler will make it worth your while. Very clean, well-appointed, flawlessly gracious and warm staff. The rooms are mostly small, but again, not more than usual by London standards.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Siam Secret around the corner and through a small courtyard is charming with very good Thai food. Addie's Thai on the main road by the tube stop is excellent, as well.

A great little find in the west end of London

So let's get the "bad" stuff out of the way first: no, this hotel does not have a pool/spa/sauna/fitness center and yes it is rather tricky to find the first time around. That's it; the rest is all good stuff as the hotel was very conveniently located and staffed by incredibly helpful people. Though I was initially disconcerted to hear that I had been "upgraded" from a single to a bunk bed room at street level, this turned out to be a non-issue as the road quieted down at night and the bunk never got in the way. Otherwise, the room was very clean and having the mini-kitchen proved to be very useful. I can't speak to the available breakfast option, but there were plenty of places to eat at nearby with the Earl's Court tube station being just a block away, opening up the possibility of being virtually anywhere within London within 20 minutes.

Keep an eye out for "Science Lates" evening events at the relatively nearby Science Museum; they're a blast!

Great location, boutique

Would certainly recommend this hotel. Great location and the staff can't really be faulted. Single room was fairly small in terms of the bedroom, but not unexpected. Very clean and fridge/kitchenette area was ideal. Good TV selection etc and wifi worked flawlessly. Bathroom is probably 2/3rd's the size of the bedroom!

Try Taste Thai on Cromwell Road. Lightning quick service for a sit down restaurant, but tasty food and nice staff.

Still Great with New Name

I stayed here last year when it was called Base2Stay and was concerned the experience also changed with the name; fortunately, it's still a great place to stay, especially for the price. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are quiet and clean.

Good Location near Tube

Staff was very helpful on our last day before checking out. It turned out the cashier at Earl's Court Underground Station gave me an "outdated" 20 pound bill as part of the change I've received when I purchased a Travelcard from the station on our first day in using the Tube. We were very disappointed and upset that this happened to us on our trip to London because no merchant would accept this "bill" The Staff agreed with me that this "bill" should not have been given to me as legitimate change.

Lots of shops and restaurants near the Earls Court Tube Station. I should warn you about using the Customer Service Agents at Earls Court Station. It may be better to use your Credit Card, rather than CASH (which requires change), because I've received an "outdated" bill from them that is no longer accepted by others.

Convenient

Quite honestly, I was very disappointed with the size of the room, including the bed. It was maybe 5 feet wide and the bed was a twin size and against a wall...I kept hitting my elbow. I was told that the next size up has a larger bed...However, the staff was most pleasant and helpful and the hotel is a quick block to the Earl's Court tube...
