good location...

the hotel was in the perfect location for mine and my husbands stay, it was literally 2 min walk to the trendy st christopher place and st james street which is lively with lovely restaurants and bars, a further 2 min walk will take you to oxford and bond street, 15min walk to marylebone station, cant go wrong HOWEVER we spent our first night on the first floor, theres no double glazing which is surprising for a hotel located near bars, hardly got any sleep, asked to be moved in the morning and receptionist didnt seem too surprised to such complaints, was slightly dissapointed with her lack of interest, no apology was given first which was rude! room was ok but for the price i was surprised there was no tea facilities in the room, just a coffee machine which also didnt have any spoons so how they expect you to stir in sugar or milk is a mistery? although you can call for a pot of hot water (and spoon!), no iron in rooms thats an extra £1 charge from reception, no robes just towels, although not the end of the world, for such a statement hotel these small comfort details were a let down but luckily the convenient location outweighed these for our two night stay

Quite lovely without pretension

From the moment we walked up the front steps, we were greeted by a knowlegdable staff eager to ensure a delightful stay. Though able to maintain "English" sensibilities, the Mandeville created a very warm and personable atmosphere. Located in the West End, the Mandeville's location cannot be beat. Two large windows enabled natural light (when the sun chose to make an appearance) to flood the otherwise medium size yet comfortable room.

Great location, decent accommodations

The hotel room was small and spartan but adequate for our purposes. The staff was helpful if not always friendly. The location is excellent if you're in London to sight-see. It's just a few block from the Bomd St. tube station and the hustle and bustle of Oxford St.

Housekeeping Needs Improvement - Too Many Charges

The housekeeping was lacking in providing the necessary needs of towels etc. on a daily basis along with cups for coffee. You are given coffee for one day for your in room coffee maker and then you are charged for coffee for any days after the first. The staff at the desk and concierge were great and the location is great to get around town.

Mandeville Hotel

Very clean room, comfortable bed with good quality bedding, bathroom was excellent. I give the housekeeping staff 10, concierge 8, front desk 7, bar & restaurant staff 10. Location was very nice. Great places to eat right close by. Easy walk to Hyde Park. Easy to get on the Tube lines from Bond street station.

Great Hotel!

This was my 2nd time staying in this hotel, and while my first experience was in a slightly larger suite, the regular rooms were not that bad either. The only downfall being the lack of space, but we made due. Everything is extremely clean, and the staff is very knowledgable and willing to help you before you even ask. It is situated perfectly if you like to shop in Soho or Oxford St, and it is just minutes from the Bond St. tube stop and Paddington station!

Great Location - Tube is just a few blocks away!

The staff was very helpful and nice, Carlos was especially helpful with all kinds of information and tips for visiting various places in London & Scotland. The room was a little small, but it is to be expected in Europe! The bed was very comfortable, and there was a nice size safe in the room! I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends. There is the Bond Street tube station located a few blocks away, and there are LOADS of shopping opportunities and food places nearby!

Really nice great location and the staff was extremely helpful and very nice. We would easily go back again. Rooms are on the smaller size but that is to be expected. Again the staff in every phase was outstanding. Loved it!

Plan on shopping as you will see things there you cannot get in the states. Also the wine is not as good as what one can get in the states but the Pubs are outstanding!

Nice Hotel, But Didn't Blow Us Away

This hotel was located in an excellent location. It is close to a great quaint shopping area called St. Christopher's place as well as a short distance from many major attractions: Oxford street, Soho, Carnaby Street, Regent St. A bit longer walk will take you to Hyde Park, the West End, Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus, etc . . . The hotel was a four star hotel, but had no gym, no spa, and just didn't feel luxurious. It is a bit small, and perhaps I felt this way because we were put in a handicapped room even though we booked months in advance and stayed 5 nights. My suspicion is that because we got such a steal on the nightly rate, we were given a lower quality room. The staff in the lobby sometimes had conversations they probably shouldn't have had in front of guests. Overall, this was a nice place, but it didn't blow me away. I hear they have a nice afternoon tea service, but we passed this time.
