A Lot Going for It (and for You)

This is a great value for a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Marylebone area of London. Convenient to tons of great restaurants and cafes, and about a half hour's walk from the West End theatre district. Also smack in the middle of all sorts of shopping, from the department and chain stores of Oxford Street to the exclusive budget-busting boutiques scattered throughout. The staff were, for the most part, very polite and efficient, and the room (while on the small side) was bright, well appointed and spotlessly clean. My only complaint would be that in this age of wireless technology, it seems curious to charge extra for in-room Wi-fi (£12.50/day), rather than have it as one of the standard amenities. (Although free Wi-fi is available in the lobby.) Overall an extremely positive experience, and I look forward to returning soon.

Quiet luxury + service, great location

On a great street in Marylebone just off Oxford street you will find a hidden treasure, the Mandeville. You notice the kindness of the staff right away. There is also a very lively and hip bar as well as outstanding 2-star dining. From the operator who wakes you up in the morning, to the sincere and smiling staff greeting you in the lobby to the doorman who says good morning, it's about the best value and experience in London.

Exceptional location

An exceptional hotel/flight deal with the emphasis on the hotel element. Location was 100%. Staff were sadly a little unfriendly, but dealt with matters efficiently.

Good location, nice hotel

Enjoyed our stay at the Mandeville. The room was very small but I think that is probably the case with almost any hotel in the central part of London. Hotel staff was incredibly helpful.

Perfect location

The hotel was beautiful, wonderful service and very clean. The only thing we didn't like was that in our room the bathroom "door" was just a frosted glass partition and it was right next to the bed. No privacy in the loo! It would be fine if it was only one person in the room, or if the bed was on the opposite wall. We did book it for 2 people, and would have upgraded to a deluxe double room if we could afford it. The superior double room was pretty close quarters for two people- even closer when you can't close off the loo!
