Quiet luxury + service, great location
On a great street in Marylebone just off Oxford street you will find a hidden treasure, the Mandeville. You notice the kindness of the staff right away. There is also a very lively and hip bar as well as outstanding 2-star dining. From the operator who wakes you up in the morning, to the sincere and smiling staff greeting you in the lobby to the doorman who says good morning, it's about the best value and experience in London.

A great place in the best location
The Mandeville is a gem. You really feel like you're in London because the hotel is in a neighborhood right off Oxford Street near St. Christopher's Lane, the Bond Street tube stop, and lot's of places to eat, many with tables outside. The staff couldn't be more helpful to make sure everything is right. It's become the only hotel I stay at in London and I've stayed at many.

Location was Amazing!
I relied on prior reviews when selecting this hotel, and I have to say that the reviews were right on the mark. This was a wonderful hotel, even if the room was a bit small for me and the use of the hotel room card to operate the lights left something to be desired. The location is near lots of places to eat along with nearby Tube stops made it ideal in every way.

Because of the price of room service, I suggest eating out as much as possible. There are a lot of amazing places nearby to eat, like Paul's if you like French cuisine.

Mandeville Hotel
Arrived at 7am and was unable to check-in (expected that), though my co-worker's room was ready. Not a big deal -- location was approx 2 blocks from the Bond St tube station on Oxford Circus Rd. Very convenient to SoHo & Chinatown -- was able to walk there in about 20 min. Nothing remarkable about the room -- clean sheets, hot water, fresh towels -- but I don't spend much time in the room so fancy amenities don't make a big impact on me. Solid service, location, quiet rooms and there are 3 pubs w/in 2 blocks of the hotel!

Great location for very reasonable price
I chose this hotel for the near perfect location for my business. The room faced to the street but the noise was not an issue at the night. My single room was very small but there was a workable desk for my laptop. Bathroom was very clean and modern with bathtub and 2 shower heads. The bed was very comfortable. I did not eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on it.

I recommend, but...
Overall I recommend the Mandville hotel - good location, 2 minutes from Bond St. tube station, very friendly and helpful staff -they upgrade my room, repair my trousers with no charge). However I have 2 reservations: 1. I ordered a single room. When I arrived I received the smallest room I was ever offered IN london, so small it can cause claustrophobia. The room did not even contain a table. I asked and received a much bigger and better room. So my recommendation is subject that you receive a proper room. 2. The second room was fine but it had a few eccentricities which can be easily with practically no investment be repaired. The bathroom is big but there are NO shelves. I had to put my toiletics on the floor. The basin is very low, a desk lamp will help a lot.
