Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, The Grosvenor Hotel has been restored to its former glory, revealing stunning original features that date back to 1862. A Listed building, it retains its distinctive Victorian architecture and character, yet offers guests all the comforts of a 21st Century luxury hotel. Our fully refurbished bedrooms offer a quiet, spacious and comfortable retreat from the bustle of London and the adjoining Victoria mainline station. All bedrooms feature rainfall showers and air conditioning. A large plasma-screen TV, Bose IPod docking stations with surround sound and WIFI access is available in all rooms for guest entertainment. All guests have use of our gym on the 7th floor. The Brasserie bar and restaurant, open all day, is the perfect place for an informal get together. Our traditional Lounge is a must for a full afternoon tea treat. Reunion, our latest addition, is a chic Champagne and Cocktail bar favored by many in the area. For a genuine Cantonese experience, try a meal in the Grand Imperial London. Its superb location is within walking distance of many of London's landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. Getting around is easy too; Victoria mainline, Underground and bus stations are close by. The Grosvenor is a non-smoking hotel.

Small room, but great location

I didn't realize before booking that there are two parts to the hotel. There's the main building that you see in the pictures, and then there's the wing that's around the side. My room was in the wing, and it was quite small, and a bit of a walk to get there. Overall, though, the experience was good, and the location was great.

Great value

I stayed here for two weeks in Jan 2013. It is an excellent hotel--at least 4 stars, if not 5. It was absolutely clean, well maintained, and is very conveniently located right above the Victoria Train Station (but don't worry about noise--there doesn't seem to be any caused by the trains)

Great Hotel with lovely hints of grandeur

I loved the hotel but right next to Victoria was a little noisy and the lack of in house movies was a bit of a disapointment. I would certainly stay there again. It is centarl and the staff are friendly the food was good and for London it was a reasonable price

Great place

This was a great hotel for the price. I've stayed in many hotels in England, and this one was the best. Staff was fantastic! Two areas that need to be improved... 1. The breakfast was not very good, and way over priced at 20 pounds per person... I would pay that at the Bellogio in Las Vegas, but not here. Go around the corner to the local pub and have a better breakfast for a third of the price. 2. The business office is lacking in a big way. Grosvenor staff, if you read these reviews, please take a trip to America or Asia and see how a top business office is set up. You could learn a lot! thanks great stay, I'll be back!

Olympic Dream

After the massive new renovations this hotel turns out to a beautiful hotel and the location was next to The Victoria station making transportation to and from the airport easy. The hotel staffs were very polite and professional, they made the stay felt friendly. I love the Hotel and will stay there again in future .

Hot hot hot... Too hot

The hotel looks amazing and is on the surface. But torn duvet cover and a bathroom door that the door can't open fully took the shine off it. The air conditioning is not chilled it's just circulated air. I was boiling so I can't really recommend this hotel for that reason. Breakfast is £20.50 which is very expensive. Recommend starbucks down down the road.

Needs Improved Computer Access Services

When trying to print a Boarding Pass, that was problem. The "Business Center" had only one very old computer, AND the printer was non-finctional. It was also hard to find, located behind a door marked Private!? Went to the concierge desk to try to get the boarding pass printed, but no luck there either. The man said that computer was also very old and slow; and unable to handle the airline's website requirements to print the boarding pass.

Great London Hotel

Traveling on business, I've stayed in a great many London hotels over the past 15 years and have to say that The Grosvenor Hotel compares favorably to some of the best hotels in which I’ve stayed. If you're a history buff, The Grosvenor is one of England's original railroad hotels, grand hotels developed in the 1800s to accommodate the growing number of people traveling via train. Its origins can clearly be seen in its location right next to Victoria Station, its private entrance from the station floor, and its grand Victorian architecture. The Grosvenor has recently undergone a major renovation, and it’s clear that no expense was spared. The public spaces are, well, majestic. But this is no stuffy, old fashioned hotel; The Grosvenor has been redone in a way that tastefully combines its classic architectural features with a modern sensibility that is unapologetically cool. The hotel is also centrally located, a stone’s throw from major tourist sites (Buckingham Palace, Westminster) on one hand and some of London’s poshest neighborhoods on the other (Belgravia, Mayfair, and Knightsbridge). The Grosvenor also sports a bistro, a rather lively bar, and one of England’s finest Chinese restaurants (The Grand Imperial). To top it all off, the hotel staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Room rates at The Grosvenor also offer a sort of value, at least by London’s outrageously priced standards: not inexpensive but below those of peer hotels. I highly recommend The Grosvenor Hotel. (Date of stay: April 24, 2012)
