The room had just enough room to breathe once you were inside. The location was decent enough, right by Hyde Park and a short walk to Paddington Staion. You had to leave your key when you left, and would give it back without ID when you returned. You only needed the room number, I actually was given someone else's key at one point. Did not feel safe leaving valuables in the room.

Geat location, reasonably priced, can't ask for more!
My wife and I were in London for 3.5 days and needed an affordable hotel to crash at night since we were mostly sight-seeing. Located just 5 min from Paddington St, with trains to practically all major attractions. Most convenient for travelling from Heathrow via the Express with no subsequent train transfer. Room is expectedly very small, but clean and decent. With wi-fi and new TV, recently renovated washroom. Friendly and helpful reception staff. We would certainly be back again!

Sightseeing tip:

While on the Heathrow Express, consider getting a Day Pass that allows you to visit unlimited paid sights for a day. Pay a little more for two or three-day passes. Worth the money. But does not include the London Eye, a must-visit attraction.

Business travellers be warned
This hotel is ok, but be warned that for a one night stay it's rooms are small and it is difficult to be comfortable enough to sleep quickly. For longer stays it's room layout would add to the stress of travel. However, there is nothing "wrong" with the hotel.

acceptable for an overnight
The room was clean. It was a tiny single. There was a deep dip in the floor right near the door. I was concerned I might put a leg through to the floor below. The road noise was quite loud. The bathroom was small but adequate.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
From now until the Olympics comes to town, it is likely that the District and Circle underground lines will be closed on weekends. These two lines are major in tourist travel. So the timesaver would be do find out more about bus routes if you will be in central London over a weekend.

The hotel was centrally located
The hotel was centrally located in Paddington, close to Tube and bus lines. Very clean and up to date furniture, the room was a bit tiny, but this may be the norm in London! Hotel provides free Wi-Fi as an added bonus. Staff are helpful, and upon checking in, discovered my bathroom light did not work, however after letting the reception know as i left for the day, it was fixed by the time i got back in the evening. Room was very muggy and hot though, a small fan was provided, but perhaps air-con may be a good investment for future!

Standard Small London Hotel
Nice enough place, but phone service was out the entire time. Front desk reserved their phone for their own use. I had to us the public phone on the street (very smelly).
