Excellent location and helpful

Excellent location and helpful staff. Despite being located in a 24/7 part of London the rooms were well sound proofed.

Incredible value...great location

My husband and I spent 6 nights here before moving on to the "midlands". The location could not have been better. From here, we walked to the theater district, the National Gallery, Covent Gardens, St. James Park, the London Eye etc. When we wanted tube access, we had the choice of 2 nearby tube stations. Our room was clean and well appointed. The hotel makes available, at no charge, a laundry room, fitness room, and several computers for internet access. (There is free wifi throughout the hotel.) We will definitely stay here again.

Great stay at a nice hotel

I travel to London a lot and usually stay in Bloomsbury but got the Grand at a great rate. I lvoed the location because I like to walk everywhere. It was easy check-in - there's a computer right next to the desk which I used instead of waiting in the small queue. The hotel room was very decent sized for London standards. The room seemed new with nice furniture, a comfortable bed and a good bathroom with a nice shower (no tub in my room). Also, in the room was a flat panel TV with about 20+ channels, a hairdryer and an umbrella. My room was quiet and I never heard my neighbors. I would stay here again if I got another good rate.

Good care for a good trip.

The room was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the location superb. The shower stall was a bit small for a full grown adult, but there was always plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning worked great on those days when the heat became an issue. The room came with a small refrigerator and microwave which helped cut the costs a bit since London can get expensive.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

From the hotel you're within a short walk of the theatre district, the south bank, the London Eye, St. Jame's Park, Whitehall Palace, Covent Garden, Charing Cross,Picadilly Circus, the National Gallery, and of course Trafalgar Square. You're also two minutes from the Underground and the Embankment Railway Station.

Definately purchase an Oyster card if you are in London for a week. The Underground is the best way to get around the City

Lovely Stay in London

This was a lovely hotel experience. We felt very safe in the area and in the building. The room was was very clean, spacious and private. It was comfortable and provided a desk area and additional seating. The staff was very courteous and helpful with any of our questions and requests. There was internet access and a lounge/TV area. And we couldn't have asked for a better location. It is at Trafalgar Square near 2 underground stations, a train station and lots of restaurants and coffee shops, near a river boat dock, and just across the Thames (over a walking bridge) from The London Eye.

Amazing location!

Great hotel with friendly staff and amazing location. The maid service was inconsistent. While the rooms were left clean, not all towels taken were returned - I didn't have a washcloth for 3 days and soaps and shampoos were not replenished. One day the complimentary coffee and tea was not replenished either.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The National Gallery is located around the corner and admission is free. You can walk anywhere within 20-30 minutes of this hotel - no need to spend money on a taxi or public transport because there's so much to see and do along the way.
