Unbeatable location, quiet, kind people

This place lives up to to its reputation--the staff are genuinely kind and helpful, the location is fantastic--close to so much you'd want to be near. The rooms are really quiet and comfortable. They are a little small, but super well-appointed. Loved having the Nespresso machine in the room as well as hot chocolate for the kid. Speaking of the kid--we stayed here twice and the second time we returned they had left a couple things for the kid in the room--Uno cards and a book. He felt very special. Everything about this place was special. The breakfast is overpriced but there are so many places around the hotel to eat that you've got great options. Also, the Indian restaurant right across the street was also fantastic--we ate there once, got take out twice. Delicious food, kind people.

Oasis in bustling heart of London

Choose this hotel based on it's proximity to the British Museum. Discovered that it was a great home base for the whole city with close by tube and bus connections. Rooms on the small side, of course, but were well appointed. Free WiFi worked well, AC was good and cold, staff delivered ice to our room on request. American's paradise! Staff was very helpful, and was able to check us in early. Only issue was that built-in US power and USB power outlets didn't work despite hotel's attempt to fix. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect London Weekend

We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and asked if we needed cool towels as it was such a warm day! Once we checked in we were given maps and bottles of water to help us on our way. Room quiet, clean and comfortable and breakfast superb. Great central location for sightseeing. Can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful hotel and staff!

My sister and I were visiting with family in a suburb of London but wanted to have two nights in town. The Bloomsbury Hotel is centrally located virtually across the road from the British Museum and within a short tube ride to most major London attractions including the theater district and the National Gallery area. The Hotel is pristine, I'd say quite upscale, and the staff are anxious to please. The concierge recommended a fabulous Indian cuisine eatery, The Red Fort, which we loved so much we purchased a gift certificate for our cousin's upcoming birthday. Highly recommended!! May not be the most suitable for a family with several children however.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

If you are in London on Sunday, don't miss the open markets in Brick Lane. At the Truman Brewery there is an amazing food court of international cuisine as well as terrific shopping for all types of clothes, jewelry, household items and just plain fun to browse, walk and eat.

Fantastic location

Hotel location couldn't be better. Staff brilliant. Room very warm, air conditioning on a lot. Would book a superior double instead of standard next time. If you think the breakfast is a bit expensive there is a great italian cafe oposite, good breakfast for about £6. Third visit here and will keep coming back. Superb hotel. The best for the price in London.

Lovely stay!

We arrived early at the hotel and the receptionist went out of his way to organise a room for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was excellent - well presented and clean. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting the British Museum and its closeness to Covent Garden and other sightseeing venues meant that we were never short of something to do and see. We would definitely return to the hotel.

We tried both Le Garrick ( a French restaurant) for lunch and Simurgh (a Persian restaurant) for dinner. Both provided delicious meals and it was great to experience a different cuisine ( Persian).
