Will never stay anywhere else!
Our stay in London was perfect and I can't say enough about the Athenaeum. We had a beautiful room with a private entrance, the location of the hotel is within walking distance of Green Park tube and Buckingham Palace is just across the street. The room was bigger than any I have stayed in and it was clean and comfortable. The staff was beyond courteous and I would say they are the reason I will always stay at this hotel. Many thanks to the Athenaeum!!

Perfect Stay!
I stayed at the Athenaeum over the Christmas holiday and cannot extend enough compliments to the hotel and staff. The location cannot be beat, the room was very clean, stylish and comfortable (I was upgraded when I checked in), extremely quiet and the staff were a pleasure. On Christmas eve they even delivered a Christmas gift to my room (a small box of spa products). How lovely! The hotel is small which I found added to its charm. I've stayed at so many wonderful hotels in London and consider the Athenaeum to be at the top of the list.

For a great pub and pub meal, go to the Audley on Mount Street. A short walk from the hotel in beautiful Mayfair.

Cheaper, but not cheap, for a reason
Bad: Small room, over-heated with no way to cool it off. Good: mistakes rectified with a smile: free WiFi: free water: fast elevators; pleasant staff. Still, one would expect more for the money.

Marvellous Hotel
The Athenaeum was a perfect hotel to see London from. Situated close to Hyde Park corner on Piccadilly the location was great for shopping as well as an early morning run around the park. It is also close to the theatre district. The staff were excellent and made a beautiful hotel even better. Room and bathroom fittings were of a high standard and the free WiFi signal was strong. I cannot fault the hotel. My stay was a pleasure and will certainly return next time I am in London.

Good restaurants in Shepherds Market which is close to the hotel. Very nice square with shops and pubs as well. Worth visiting for lunch at least.

I love this hotel and came here
I love this hotel and came here for our wedding night as we had completely amazing honey themed high tea a few months earlier. I even forgot to take my wedding jewellery from the room and the hotel was able to locate it and return to me within the same day. It's not cheap but OH SO WORTH IT. Love the mirrors EVERYWHERE and the Ren (organic) products! Would have loved disposal toothbrush and toothpaste there as we came straight from our wedding party...

Perfect
Very difficult to fault this hotel. Conveniant location and staff couldn't be more helpful. Rooms clean and a good size plus free internet and soft drinks/snacks from minibar just make it feel less penny-pinching than others. Won't stay anywhere else next time I'm in London.
