Excellent location, with access to every

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The Pub located in the hotel was always full of energy and people. Good food. The location was great with tube access and you are within walking distance to many major sites.

Nice Hotel

Convenient to Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Big Ben, Cabinet War rooms. Nice, spacious room. Large bathroom. Friendly staff. Bring your own computer, as there is no business center.

Nice Hotel - June 2009

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. Firstly, it is very close to the St. James's tube station. We had several bags, and wanted a short walk. Service started off great, and was good for the entire stay. We had the upgraded double room, which was nice. The floors are a little "creaky", but old London buildings are all that way. The hotel has wired internet in the rooms. We had a pants press in our room, and a iron was easily available. Tea and biscuits were refreshed in our room every day. The pub downstairs had good food, and we ate there 3 times during our stay... try the steak and ale pie! I would stay here again.

Get an Oyster card, and use the St. James's tube station to get everywhere in the city.

What a pleasent surprise!

I was a little worried about a Hotel above a pub, but this hotel was wonderful. For the price, you get a clean and suprisingly spacious room by Euro standards, and you really could not beat the location (five minutes walking distance to Big Ben). I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Sancuary House Hotel, London

Great staff! They took care of anything we needed. Perfect location just north of Westminster Abbey and a couple of blocks away from St. James Park underground station. Clean, non-smoking rooms.

Very good location, close to St.

Very good location, close to St. James' Park Underground station. No fridge in our Superior room the first day but that was fixed within the next. Rather expensive Internet connection by our opinion, 3 GBP an hour. Nice pub downstairs. Friendly staff, we'll be back!

Arrived early at this lovely hotel,

Arrived early at this lovely hotel, who stored our luggage while we used the pub situated at street level. We booked a Delux Room which although quite small had all usual amenities and overlooked the street. Staff very polite and friendly. This hotel is very close to several London tourist sites, Westminster, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, plus River Cruises and only 300 metres to the Underground (St James Park) and buses 300 meters in the opposite direction. However this hotel is within easy walking distance of many other places. The Sanctuary pub was very clean and food was very good. We had a specialty pie and salad nicoise which were both excellent. Hotel again stored luggage after check out so we didn't waste any precious time. Would definatly stay here again.
