Excellent Location, Value and Staff
We had two rooms and stayed for nine nights and really enjoyed our stay. My son and I were in London two years ago for a week (stayed at a different hotel) and were returning this time with my other son and his wife. We had a wonderful time seing the sights from one end of the city to the other. The hotel location was excellent with St. Jame's Park subway (tube) station and bus stops only short walks away. Having breakfast downstairs at the hotel restaurant was a great way to start each day. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very neat and clean. The bathrooms even had a 120 volt outlet which allowed my electric razor to be used & recharged which, unlike cameras and cell phones, would not have been possible with the standard UK 240 volt charge. The only problem we had in both rooms was the that the ceiling air conditioners were unreliable. In spite of fans that were provided by the hotel and the AC's being reset a few times, we had a couple of uncomforable nights sleep. Overall, we all felt that the hotel was a great place to stay (location, value and staff) and would definitely go back there again.

Our stay at Sanctuary House proved
Our stay at Sanctuary House proved to be one of the most comfortable, convenient and satisfying stays of our travels. Located about 100 metres from Westminster Abbey and Parliament House and 50 metres from St James's Park Tube Station, Sanctuary House is the perfect location for any visitors to London. The bedroom was more than adequate for our stay and the beds very comfortable, whilst all of the amenities were first-class. We found all of the staff to be courteous and willing to, promptly and efficiently, attend to any query that we had.

Fantastic location in the heart
Fantastic location in the heart of everything. Very pleasant staff. We emailed some questions prior to arrival which were instantly responded to. Upon arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Overall, a perfect location for a tourist tour of London.

Friendly staff, clean and quiet
Friendly staff, clean and quiet room on 4th floor. Good location. Breakfast was very good. Only down side was the stale smell of cigarette smoke in the room and especially the pillows. Perhaps this was a smoking room once but smell still there.

Blessed to be a Housewife
As advertised and better
We arrived in London at 9pm and had only til 4pm next day before we had to travel to a wedding. We chose the Sanctuary House Hotel because it had a lovely look online, a place to eat onsite, an unbeatable location with Westminster Abbey just a stone-throw away, and two subway stations also very nearby. (St. James station a block away taking us to the Tower of London in about 27 minutes.) We had two rooms for our family: 62,59, 20 and 17 years old. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Cleanliness was good(some dust under the beds and a little bleach needed in one upper corner of the bathroom) The food in the bar-restaurant was very good. Wish we could have had a longer stay.

A bit expensive, but given that
A bit expensive, but given that its London this is the best value you will find for this kind of quality accomodation. We will definitely consider staying here again. The place was recently removated so everything is new, clean and pleasent to stay it. Across the road is St. James underground and is a mere 20mins walk from Picadilly Circle.
