Great 5 star at a great price

Made a quick trip to London for a football match and some sightseeing. Stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel for a good price. Overall it was a good stay in a very nice and very clean hotel in a great area. Only had one issue in that the room was not yet available when I was there to check-in, however, did not need it at the time and they were able to take care of my luggage. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Hotel

Hotel was great, but as a tourist looking to see all sites in London and be close to nightlife, would prefer to stay somewhere west of Hyde Park next time.

Great hotel

We have stayed at the Royal Garden 3 times, and we have loved it each time. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The restaurant off the lobby hosts a wonderful breakfast. The hotel is a quick 5 min walk from the Underground station, and there are lots of stores to shop at along the way. It is wonderful that the hotel rooms are air conditioned, especially in August. The deluxe rooms look directly out on Kennington Garden. The concierge arranged a driver for our family of 5 for a wonderful day trip to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Marks & Spencer's food hall is next to the Underground station. Stop in here to pick up water, soft drinks, ready made sandwiches and snacks at a very reasonable price. It helps to have some food and drinks in your room to help adapt to the time zone difference (3 am munchies) especially if you have kids/teenagers with you.

A great hotel over looking the park

This was a first class hotel with very pleasant staff. The restaurants were really good. I would stay here again as it was very good value for the rate charged. The Internet was a bit pricey and the gym was small with limited equipment. The views over the park are really pleasant.
