Business Conference

Would recommend Wed, Jul 23, 2014
In London for a conference at Imperial College. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. One of their young trainees went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. Location in Kensington was perfect. Within walking distance to the museums, Imperial College and the tube. Very good local restaurants near by. A wide varied of items for breakfast. Price was what should be expected for this type of hotel in London. A slight negative was cleaning staff. They needed some prompting, BUT that was not a big distraction.

Weekend concert trip

Would not recommend Tue, Apr 22, 2014
We chose this hotel for it's location based on the fact that we were attending the Royal Albert Hall for a concert. The only downside was the size of the rooms. We have stayed in London on several occasions and these rooms were by far the smallest we have encountered. We had arrived with a couple of friends who said exactly the same, and they even asked if it were possible to change rooms as theirs had been set out for single occupancy. The request was denied as the hotel was full. We did have an excellent meal at the hotel, the food was lovely. However, we were glad that we were only staying the one night, as any longer would have been too claustrophobic. There was no room to walk around the bed and when my wife had to visit the bathroom during the night, she had to climb over me. Overall, all four of us agreed that we wouldn't consider staying here again because of the room size.

Great location, friendly staff

Would recommend Wed, Oct 23, 2013
I chose this hotel for its location - easy access both to the Piccadilly Line (for the airport) and the District Line train to Wimbledon (to where I was going for a wedding). The location is very convenient, and there is lots within walking distance (beyond just the tube stop). The room includes a fridge and free wifi - both perks that I wish were more common at hotels. Considering my room overlooked the Cromwell Road, it was pretty quiet for sleeping. The breakfast is a little overpriced, but I found it worth it for the convenience, friendly service and quality/variety of food. I would stay here again and would recommend it to a friend.

In transit stop

Would recommend Thu, Oct 10, 2013
I have used this hotel several times primarily for its location. My greatest dissappointment is that it seems more often than not the rooms I had been allocated have had the nastiest views onto an inner industrial space and little if any natural light. I put up with it, I suppose, because I typically do not spend much time in the room. Bur it would be pleasant to have some sunlight when the weather is bright.

Disappointing

Would not recommend Thu, Dec 20, 2012
The rooms were certainly not up to standards with Radisson. My second main concern was parking, as stated on the website outdoor parking was available, however it was not mentioned that it did not belong to the hotel rather normal London parking which cost us £35 a day for parking, a ridiculous price whilst a much cheaper hotel across the street with good standards had free parking. The overall impression was disappointing and not worth the ridiculous amount charged.

The staff made our stay special

Would recommend Thu, Oct 11, 2012
We visited for my wife's 50th birthday weekend. The staff greeted us in the most friendly way and acknowledged the special occasion. Later that day, there were cupcakes delivered to the room along with a bottle of wine. What a nice treat! The room was small, but equal to London standards. We arrived early and were pleased that they had a room ready. The hotel has an excellent location, half a block from a tube stop on the line to Heathrow, which made for convenient logistics. All-in-all a good value for our three night getaway.

London Book Fair-Earls Court

Would not recommend Sat, Apr 28, 2012
A minute's walk from Gloucester Road subway station. An excellent location from and to Heathrow (Piccadilly Line), to and from Earls Court fair grounds (one stop); indeed to and from anywhere in London. Extremely tiny room and washroom; very uncomfortable. The closet is very thin, yet filled with an iron, ironing board, pants press, hair dryer (which neither were ever used), yet there is no room to hang any clothes or even to use the only little shelf available. The dresser had an electric kettle with coffee and mugs, as well as a fridge; again no room to put a thing. ** Check if breakfast is included in rate before booking **. Although some reviews praise breakfast as being included, and its quality , online booking may not give you the option of the rate being with or without breakfast. If you assume that it is included, you may be very surprised at check-in that you have to pay a lot for it (i.e. if you want). Many good food alternatives are provided in the several nearby restaurants and stores.

Dining

Many good restaurants on Gloucester Road.

Nice Hotel

Would recommend Wed, Apr 25, 2012
Overall it was a nice hotel for its value. Corridors were a little narrow and maze-like. Elevator was small and too long a wait at times I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. Wish there were bureau drawers for clothes. I don't like living in a suitcase. Good thing the closet was big enough and had a lot of hangers. Our room was at the back so it was quiet even with the windows open. It's a fantastic location though. The Tube was right there. It's a one-line ride to and from Heathrow, if you don't mind the 45-minute ride. It's not in the heart of Picadilly so it's peaceful at night. There are 2 grocery stores to choose from if you're on a budget. The 17 pound breakast price tag is a tad pricey, but thank goodness there's a Starbucks and another good French cafe nearby. Lots of restaurants to choose from too. Kensington/Hyde park is close enough if you want to go on a morning jog. If it rains, there is a gym in the basement. I'd recomment this for the location and the area. But on our last day, around the corner I saw The Montana Hotel, 55 pounds a night!!! It seems to be in a comparable building so I'd check that out too. A heck of a lot cheaper.
