Highly Unsatisfactory
I booked a single room, so I expected the tiny bedroom and bathroom (so small the sink was in the shower). However the bed was at best a day bed, at worst a child's bed. It was surrounded by iron railings so every time I moved, I hit them. I am only 5'6 and my feet touched the rails at the bottom of the bed. The mattress was thin and old, and the springs could be felt through the fabric. Thoroughly uncomfortable. The hotel obviously knew it was an inadequate offering, as on entering the room, the phone was already ringing to see if I wanted to pay for an upgrade. The duvet was stained and dirty. The wrong remote was in the room for the TV, so I couldn't use it. There was no security on the inside of the door such as a chain or anything and I felt insecure. You have to leave your room key when you go out. I would personally highly recommend you don't stay here.

Creepy, musty hotel
The Pavilion turned out to be a creepy outdated hotel with heavy, musty, moth-eaten curtains and bed linens, stained carpeting, an uncomfortable bed that smelled like cleaning solution, unreliable wifi, and a toilet that only flushed sporadically. Moreover, what seemed like a value became a rip-off when a friend of mine who was staying elsewhere was required to pay 15 pounds to come upstairs while we planned our evening out. When she explained that she did not intend to stay, the one staff person on premises suggested we sit in the "living room," which was under his full surveillance on a TV monitor, and then attempted to up-sell me to a double room. By night, the neighborhood is full of sirens, but by day it is fairly nice and easily accessible by tube or walking (thus location is the one marginally positive thing about this hotel). It should be noted that the hotel is adjacent to a strip of about five unsavory seeming hotels, all of which appeared less expensive by their window advertisements.

Deplorable weekend in this hotel
When I arrived at this hotel I found the staff very unhelpful and quite rude. The room itself and bathroom were extremely small, the bathroom was beyond a joke. I felt like i had gone back in time staying here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone going to London as i was very unhappy with this hotel and it's rude staff.

Brilliant!
Enjoyed the slightly less traveled path, with a couple of nice pubs nearby. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. I had problems with theater tickets and they provided good advice and directions. Very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting them again.

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
If you're in town before September of this year (and you can get tickets) Shakespear' 'Much Ado About Noting' at Wyndham's Theater is fantastic.

Way below expectations
The hotel lacks basic amenities. Bathrooms are unacceptable, uncomfortable beds and pillows, no elevator, plank floors with gaps with many "residents" in between, non working internet etc. Not worth even at the price offered. Although close to shopping and trains, neighborhood does not feel safe, nor does the hotel. We were worried that we will bring bed bugs home!!!

Interesting theme
There was no air conditioning and elevator so we had to lugg our heavy luggage up like 5 flights of steep stairs. Also, when asked the hotel to call us a car for the airport they said to call from our room so we could be charged. Worst hotel i have ever stayed in.

I booked a small single room and
I booked a small single room and I´ve seen smaller rooms so it was nice. Bathroom and shower were VERY small though. Anyway, I got just what I booked. Only stayed 1 night (arrived late and let early) so it was fine. Short walk from Paddington staiton to get the Heathrow express.Nice pubs within 5-10 minutes walk.

This is not a hotel for you if
This is not a hotel for you if you want a room like a holiday inn or other chain. I slept great and the room was clean. Be aware that the rooms are decorated in a way that might not suit everyone, I liked the character, felt like I was staying in an eccentric aunts spare room. Good stay i'll go back.
