Great Hotel
The Orchard was clean and quite nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was big for a European hotel and was well furnished. The hotel is a ten minute walk from Paddington station - so very convenient if flying in from Heathrow (the Heathrow express drops you off at Paddington) and it's very easy to get around London from there using the Tube. It's not far from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens too. I would definitely there again! The only thing that was a little disappointing was that you had to pay for wifi if you wanted to use it in the room, but there are plenty of cafes in the area who have free wifi....

The staff is very kind, but the hotel is extremely noisy during morning and afternoon due to improvement works in process. Please warn in advance what is going on in the hotel, specially because is really hard to stay in your room with a hammer hitting in the wall !!!

pleasant stay
pleasant staff and room, in a great location. No complaints. Breakfast included. Wifi costs 10 pounds per day.

Rude Owner / Broken Toilet / Cramped Room. Stay away from here.
The woman owner at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. The toilet in the room didn't flush, and the room itself was the size of a shoe box. The TV was the size of my palm (and I don't have particularly big hands). When I asked for a refund to stay somewhere else after seeing the condition of the room, I was greeted with a series of rude remarks and arguments from the owner. As I pointed out that this was listed as a 3 star hotel online, she promptly told me that the UK has no star system and that she had picked the 3 star rating herself to describe the hotel. If you are used to the level of friendliness and respect generally found in the hospitality industry, expect none of that here. I would highly recommend staying away from this place if you value your experience in London.

Don't have one.
Not a good place to stay for business travelers.
Room is too small for business traveler. Not enough space for computer usage. Air is bad. No air circulation.

Middleaged couple on 4 night short
Middleaged couple on 4 night short break. Found staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast. Great location. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

excellent pricing for london,
excellent pricing for london, great location (only a short walk from paddington or catch a bus). rooms was great...nice size though the bathroom was small but had the necessities in there. staff were helpful with tours and things to do as well. breakfast was basic but was fine.

Travelling Wilbury
Only for the location...
The hotel has a gret location within walking distance of Paddington.It is located on Sussex Gardens which is an entire row of hotels like the the Orchard Garden. The staff is friendly but the hotel rooms leave a lot to desire.. peeling paint, dingy room and no fresh towels daily. Though I was told there are going to update the rooms in the summer of 2010. I would not stay there again.
