Classy

We visited London during the Tube strike in June so we decided to move closer in town while the Tube was out of commission. The hotel was great but a little too posh for us. We're a young couple so we didn't fit in with the regular clientele. The location was great though, on the same square as the US and Canadian embassies. The walk to the tube was 3-5 blocks when it was operating so it was pretty easy to get throughout London. If you can find a good deal on this hotel, I recommend it but if you're not classy (like me) be prepared for some akward glances.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a great little shop literally around the corner for a bottle of wine or a few snacks to start off the day. Ask as the front desk, they can lead you to it.

Amazing staff and nice rooms

I love London and always enjoy staying in Mayfair. Since I'm selecting a hotel from abroad it's always a little difficult, but this hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff here was incredibly friendly, and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. There are several pubs, and restaurants very near by as well as a lot of shopping. We talked about trying out another part of town next time, but the staff was so helpful I don't think we'll want to try another hotel any time soon.

What a wonderful hotel - old but beautiful interior- with well trained staff who saw to your every need. Efficient check in. Breakfast was served on immaculate tables and buffet was fresh and hot. Business centre allowed us to print our flight boarding passes free - great service which we appreciated. Room was warm, clean with fresh towels and toiletries. Concierge stowed our luggage until time for our flight. Hotel is only a few yards from the American Embassy and a short five minute walk from Bond Strret underground station and central London . Great hotel !! Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend wholeheartedly !! .

A great hotel

The service was excellent. The airline lost our luggage and the hotel Concierge was so helpful by tracking them for us for two days and delivered them to our room the minute they arrived.

Exceptional Value in London

We travel to London often and normally the hotels are both expensive and the rooms cramped... by American standards. On this occassion (thro Orbitz) the room was ludicrously cheap and for $30 per night extra (std option)we upgraded to a large room facing the park. Grosvenor Square is the finest location in London for dining, theatre and parks

Good value!

Having stayed in many London hotels, I highly appreciated what the hotel offered at the price that I paid. Because of the great value, I rated it 5 stars. The fitness center is not great, but has what you need and is better than many in top London hotels. Room was classy, pleasant and spacious. Shower was great (a rarity in England). The location of the hotel is excellent for business and tourism. There is a charming park right outside it.

Lovely hotel in gorgeous Mayfair

Absolutely fabulous location. Must try Shogun (Japanese) restaurant at hotel. Within walking distance to many sites. We walked to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament and London Eye. Would definitely stay here again. Staff is friendly and very helpful.
