Average to-nice location, shabby rooms

The hotel is located ok, close to the US, Canadian and Italian embassies. There's a small park right in front of the hotel. Oxford Street is a couple of minutes walking, the area is safe. The subway is also 5-10 minutes walking, but is not right below the hotel. The next nice thing about the hotel was the concierge guy who was a movie-like character, always happy, funny and really helpful. If you ask, there's a very nice breakfast place very close to the hotel, on a side street, reasonably priced and with very well dressed customers. The bad part - the room was VERY SMALL, shabby, really, to go to the bathroom and close the door was a little bit of a challenge, the bathroom curtain was a little bit stinky. The windows of this hotel are very small and they don't open nicely. The breakfast was not included and at the hotel was severely overpriced. Overall, just another overpriced place in the middle of a wonderful city. What a shame !!!

Expected more from high priced hotel

The hotel location is excellent, not far from Oxford street in a nice garden square near the American embassy. The decoration and the room our oldish style and the maintenance level is medium. The towel heater didn't work although we requested to fix it. Shower Gel was not supplied for the last three days due to "supply shortage" as informed by the room service. The restaurant breakfast is extremely expensive.

Not a very good experience

To start with, the room seemed old and not maintained properly, as the heater was not functional. the WC had it flaws where the shower was not fit properly. Breakfast was less than ordinary and not continental or English as mentioned. Also, the usage of internet was not allowed freely, not even for an hour. Finally, even when I have tried to do my airline check in and print the one page check in document, they have charged me additional amount.

So-so hotel but the price was right

We booked two rooms. One was a very large room given at regular price, the other room was a conventional room and very small. The old style 19-inch CRT televisions (one of which had been stocked with an incompatible remote) were unacceptable in this day and age. The hotel is old and the rooms and bathrooms show it. Service was variable. Hotel's best feature is its location in the elegant Mayfair area. You will feel very upper class strolling the beautiful streets as Bentleys and Aston Martins pass by. You also can't beat the price we got from Orbitz. When you're spending less than $300 a night per room in London, you can forgive a lot.

Great location, fair hotel

The hotel was in a great location, and was a decent hotel. The room was nice but the bathroom was extremely small and the plumbing left much to be desired. The toilet did not always work and we lost all hot water for a few minutes on several occasions. Overall it's a decent hotel but I certainly wouldn't pay the full retail cost per night for it. If you can get a great deal I would give it some consideration as the location is great.

Millennium Hotel London Mayfair

Great Location however the small details were missing. Faucets in the bathroom were loose and turned when you tried to use them, water would only come from the shower head in the bath, the airconditioner would only marginally cool the room, and the mattresses were really worn flat and needed replacement. Not what I expect in a 4 or 5 star establishment. Would I stay there again? Maybe if I got the same price as I did on this stay, but not a full retail.

Adequate in convenient location

Stayed for a week on business and the hotel is in a convenient location (easy walk to Bond tube stop and Hyde park through beautiful neighborhood), but the mattresses in the room were old and sagging. Literally bowing. Made for uncomfortable sleep. Other than that fairly large annoyance, this place is great. Perhaps a little bit of a dated hotel, but clean and nice overall. Note that this hotel does not provide hair conditioner so you need to bring your own.
