Nice hotel. Well situated right
Nice hotel. Well situated right next to Cloucester Road Underground. Beds were - for us - terribly soft. Sour backs were killing us every morning.

worth considering for visit to London
e had never been to London so this was our first trip. The hotel locfation and staff made our visit a memorable one. The hjotel is in a very good location and next to the tube station so traveling around town was weasy. The concierge services were very helpful and that made the whole trip worth the staty.

Sightseeing in London
Close to sights yet quiet.
Located in a good London neighborhood, just yards away from the subway station with cafes, pubs, banks and shops around. Harrods was 1 subway-stop away. Room, although small since this was a refurbished historic building, was quiet as requested. A pleasant experience.

Short walk from hotel
Easy walk to the Victoria and Albert Museum (plus the Natural History if visiting with children). Having Club membership was a good idea: quick check-in, nice continental breakfast and evening glass of wine with canapes in the club-lounge.

London-Millenium Gloucester
The Millenium Gloucester was a great place! My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon. The concierge was super helpful. They had an answer for everything, directions to everything, and even booked a few tours for us to Stonehenge, Bath, and Westminster. Our bedroom was a good size (nothing like some London hotels I've read about), and there was always hot water, sometimes too hot. The location was great. Right next to the tube and only a few stops away from the main attractions. Lots of good restaurants and pubs. I would definitely recommend Da Mario, which was about a 5 minute walk down Gloucester toward Kensington Palace (which was only a ten minute walk away). We discovered it the last day we were there and it was the best Italian food I've ever had. Kensington Park was really nice and the museums were all free, which was great. Overall, great location, great room sizes, great staff. Definitely recommended!

Get an Oyster card if you're staying there awhile and will be traveling on the tube alot. The Picadilly line is really busy most of the time, and the tube can get really uncomfortable when it's crowded and you have to deal with everyone, so if you can take the District Line to your destination I would recommend that.

A very good hotel with easy access
A very good hotel with easy access to all parts of London, especially the West End. Tube just around the corner and Hyde Park with in walking distance. The hotel is a very good hotel, but what you expect for a 4 star hotel. If you catch it at the right time excellent value for money, but prices can vary considerably.

Run down room, but good service...
The concierge was great... honest and easy to deal with. The room, however, left a lot to be desired. The shower was old and a bit grimey. The bed was lumpy. Our A/C didn't seem to be working when we checked in. They sent a maintenance man to come fix it immediately. He pulled out one of the nastiest air filters I've ever seen and replaced it. The room never quite cooled down tho still. Constant noise all night long. Location was good in that it was directly across the street from a tube stop. But it wasn't in the middle of any night life or any site seeing. I went to vacation, and looking back, I would have stayed near the Oxford Circus or Piccadilly Circus tube stops instead.
