Welcome to one of London's best loved and best located hostels. They are only a 15 minute walk from west-minister abbey, big ben and the london eye, They have just taken delivery of new beds for the whole hostel. You can now enjoy complete comfort with your own personal Light, as well as European and UK plug sockets for charging your phone, laptop or MP3 just for you. They also offer you one of the best breakfasts in any London hostel. With a choice of 6/7 cereals, toast, and as much tea & coffee as you can drink all day. Thursday nights are now 'movie nights' showing the latest Hollywood Blockbusters, with complimentary popcorn and bar snacks. They have been enriching the travels of young visitors to London for years. Team are on hand to ensure every traveler has a uniquely memorable stay and a fantastic London experience. Location near the banks of the River Thames puts only yards from London's famous South-bank and the London Eye. A short stroll across the river takes you into Westminster and the city's top attractions, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square. The London Eye Hostel is also handy for a spot of culture - visit the Tate Modern or the Imperial War Museum near by. With Waterloo Rail Station or Lambeth North Tube station a short walk away it's the ideal starting point for your London adventure. New arrivals can check into their rooms after 2pm each day. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel if your room is not ready for you. You do not have to be a member of any organization to stay at The London Eye Hostel however, do require that some form of valid photo identification is presented upon check in, preferably a Passport, I.D. card or driving license. " We are unable to accommodate under-16s in our dormitories. Guests under the age of 16 are welcome to stay in one of our private rooms as long as they are accompanied by a adult parent or guardian."

The staff was very friendly at this hostel so I feel bad about leaving a bad review but all around I was so displeased I immediately hopped on their free wifi to book a hotel for the following night because I couldn't bear to stay two nights. The hostel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, it was a very dark scary walk being alone. When I got there, there was nothing open around the hostel so I had to skip dinner. The room was totally full of people (12+) and not much room to move. You are assigned a bed and mine had the sheets ripped off and someone had left behind a hair. The pillow looked like someone had just slept on it. I felt so grossed out that I slept in my clothes on the bed without sheets. I want to stress that I DO NOT feel this was the hostel staff's fault, I found out later that a couple had used one of their bunks to store luggage and were sleeping in mine. I also didn't bother showering in the morning as there were many people trying to get into the showers and quite frankly, I just wanted to get out of there. One nice thing I can say is that they had a pool table downstairs where a lot of people gathered late at night as well as a TV playing movies and a few couches.

Excellent Hostel

My first stay at this hostel. The staff were very friendly. They allowed me to check in slightly earlier than their normal time of 4pm. Facilities were brilliant. Seems to have a good atmosphere amongst the other guests. Provides a free breakfast which some hostels do not. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for a bed for the night. I had a brilliant night's sleep.

London Eye Hostel

You essentially are getting what you pay for, which is somewhere well located in South London. The place was reasonably clean and the staff reasonably pleasant -they didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Continental breakfast was adequate, but some juice and fruit would be welcome. The room was extremely cramped with no storage space for bags and really warm! Nonetheless if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful for good location then this is the place for you!

cramped

For me, the location was excellent. Waterloo, BFI, National Theatre, Westminster, all an easy walk. But 15 people in a 12x12 foot room? Tiny bathroom facilities and no water pressure. Certainly not worth more than the cheap price.
