This lovely hotel is ideal for those wishing to stay in a quiet residential area, whilst remaining within easy reach of all that the capital has to offer. This is a privately owned property where guests satisfaction is management's priority. The hotel has a fairly traditional facade, with steps leading up to the main hotel entrance. There is a car park to the front of hotel for guest use. The hotel is located close to Fulham Broadway underground station, literally next door to the Chelsea Football Ground and within easy reach of Knightsbridge, Kensington and fashionable Chelsea. Moreover, Fulham is a very lively area with plenty or restaurants and bars and some trendy clothing shops.

Nothing special

As far as London hotels, this was the best price I could find while still close enough to central London. But, sometimes it's better to pay a little more for better quality. There were some good things about this hotel: -the location is very close to bus stops and the tube station. -the breakfast was good. -there were a few very nice and helpful staff (the rest were not nice at all!) -we were able to check in early without notice. Our flight came in early so it was very nice of them to let us check in early! The not so good things: -We put the "do not disturb" sign on our door and they still came in to clean our room. They even took all but 1 towel :-\ when I went down to complain, they didn't seem to care and seemed "put out" that I asked for more towels so we could shower. I put a note inside our room the next day saying; "do not clean our room" as well as leaving the "do not disturb sign hanging on the door". They clearly came in our room still because they wrote the room number on the note I left. What the heck?!?! -The carpet was disgusting!! And, there was a huge buckle or bubble in the carpet, about the size of a large dinner plate right in the main walking path, it was really annoying. -Many of the staff I tried to smile at just looked me in the eye, didn't smile and looked away. OK?!?! So much fore customer service :-\ -even though breakfast was pretty good, the cleanliness was not good! The table cloth on every table was plastic and not changed or even wiped down after being used. So, when you sit down to eat there were crumbs and sticky jam and who knows what else all over the table. We stayed 5 days and it was like this every morning at breakfast. -cleanliness is not their priority because the coffee cups and spoons that were in our room for our coffee were DIRTY!! I had to hand wash them in our bathroom :-\ -We were given a triple room even though there was only 2 of us. On the second morning when dropping off our room key for the day (yes, you have to leave your room key at the front desk before you leave) the two men asked me if I had been told about changing rooms? What?!?! No! They said since we were in a triple room we needed to change rooms for some other guests. UM, no, it's not my problem we were given the wrong room. We had plans that whole day and didn't have time to pack up all our stuff and move to a different room, not that they cared. They eventually said it was fine, not to worry about it but the fact that they made a mistake and wanted us to move kind of ticked me off! To sum it up, it was not a very pleasant hotel experience and we would not recommend it!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The tube station has a grocery store with good prices. Everything in London is far overpriced, so stock up on food for snacks and even a meal or two. The sandwiches there were pretty good.

Good overall, but if you like sleep, don't stay on the bottom floor.

There's a lot of upside to this hotel. It's located right in the heart of Chelsea, 1 minute from the tube, 2 minutes walk to at least 20 good pubs and restaurants and its literally in the parking lot of Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC. For those who have never been to London, Chelsea is one of best neighborhoods in any city in the world. super clean, very wealthy with Bentleys and Ferraris parked on the street everywhere. Some sacrifices come with the bargain price. I was given a room on the bottom level, in the elevator this was button -1. As the building is quite old, the result was constant, 24 hour foot traffic that made it difficult to sleep. It didn't help that the bed was possibly the original from when the hotel opened in the 1800's. I was there for business so the location and solid Internet access made it worthwhile. The price was roughly 70% less than the Melinimum, so that was a huge bonus as well. I would go back, but this is a modest hotel. If you're looking for upscale, this is not your place.
