Small but well located hotel within
Small but well located hotel within easy walking distance to most attractions ie:Buckingham Palace,Westminster Abbey etc. Small bathrooms but clean. Four of our friends had a quad room but it was way too small for 4 adults, they had no room to put the luggage and this would only suit a family of two adults and two children easily. Our twin room was quite adequite and the breakfast was good.Continental consisted of cereal, juice, toast with a boiled or fried egg and tea and coffee. Full breakfast was baked beans, sausage, egg, tomato, bacon, mushroom and toast. Would definately stay again.

"A Charming Hotel"
The hotel was very convenient to Victoria Station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The Continental Breakfast was very good. Our room had character, and was very comfortable. The bathroom was very small, but elegant.

Disappointed Fred
Very disappointing
Mildew smell on carpets. No natural ventilation (only French doors to a shared patio). Sewer gas constantly in bathroom. Website promises "full British breakfast" but were told we were only entitled to continental. Requested first floor but sent to basement. Staff was friendly but not accommodating.

The big and small of it
Coming from America you have to expect that the rooms will be smaller than you are accustomed to. We had our teenaged daughters with us so it was great for them to have twin beds instead of sharing. The beds were comfortable and extra long which was a great surprise. The room was vey clean and we had windows we could open. We did have to take ourselves up 4 flights of stairs but the staff was helpful with this. It was nice having breakfast included but after 3 days we did venture out to a local restaurant just for a change. We did also have to move to one floor down on our last night, not sure why but no big deal. It is in between the victoria and the pimlico stations. We tried walking from both and it is equal distance. The addressing is not quite the same in London so we had to ask for help when we arrived. We would stay again.

Decent hotel
Average rooms in an average location. Street was surprisingly noisy. Seems like it should have cost less than it did. Breakfast buffet was nice.

Shockingly small room
I booked this hotel through Orbitz. I stayed from July 19 through July 24. I have stayed in London on many occasions before when I had much less money so I am used to being in two star bed and breakfasts. I was absolutely appalled at the size of the single room. (I had booked one with a private bathroom.) I have had much bigger single rooms in the bad area of Kings Cross. When I walked in, I saw that there was literally no room for me to have the chair there and also keep my suitcase on the floor. I had to move the chair so that it almost blocked the door. I am five feet tall and 95 pounds and I cannot imagine what it would be like in that tiny hole for a bigger person. I was so upset that I went down to the front desk and asked to upgrade. I made it clear I would pay whatever difference in cost there was. I was told there was no other room available. There was a total of three hangers in the closet which is absurd. There is no ice machine and I and several other visitors were turned away when asking for ice. I had been told that a "full English breakfast" was included. When I checked in, I was advised that it was "continental" and that if I wanted the full breakfast, it would be another three and a half pounds per day. At five days that would have been 17 and a half pounds more. Considering that there were resturants near by offering a full English breakfast for 2.99 pounds, I declined to pay more. The cleaning staff left much to be desired, failing to replace toilet paper without a note and failing to replace the tea bags and sugar I used. When I ckeched in, I found dirty towels in the closet. One day they did not clean my room by 2pm when I returned from a museum and I had to contact the front desk. The continental breakfast was ok for me but that is because I don't eat alot. They will give you all the toast you can eat but it is cheap white bread and cheap "brown" bread, that is, white bread colored brown. You also have one egg either fried or boiled, ceral and canned fruit. The breakfast staff is very nice, especially [...]. The location is good. You can walk from Victoria Underground. But walk on the other side of the street from the one used by the masses. It will cut down your walk time by half. You can walk to Buckingham Palace which gives you some idea of the location. [...], who staff the front desk, were very very helpful. A man named [...] was so rude and nasty that one day I asked for his name, saying I was a member of Virtual Tourist and planned to write a review. From that time on, he was nice but his initial rude and condescending attitude when I asked simple questions left a deep impression on me. I stayed in a room overlooking the front street and there was no noise problem. You can use the internet for two pounds an hour. Within three blocks, there is a place that only charges one pound for an hour if you want to save cash. There are two grocery stores within five or six blocks and a fine Indian Resturant called Paradise. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to a single traveler unless they are very short on money. I checked out several hotels nearby and they had much bigger rooms for the same or even lower price.

Nice place!
It was my first time in London and it was easy to move around. The Victoria station is just a couple minutes away and from there you can go where ever with a buss, train or the tube. The fact that there is no lift would have made it more difficult with luggage if I had much, but if you pack light then there's no problem. The 24h reception made my stay enjoyable, just because I was by myself in a new place and the feeling that no one could get in to the building without the reception knowing made me sleep better at night.

Excellent Location. Very helpful staff!
Used the Georgian House Hotel as a base of operations to see the sights throughout London. The staff was very friendly and helpful as this was our first trip to London. They even called a shuttle service to set up a time to be driven to London's Heathrow Airport when we departed.

Enjoyed the location!
This hotel was really quaint and not a typical chain hotel. The rooms were small as expected, but clean and we liked the beautiful moldings and fireplaces in the room (not working). It was in a convenient location within a ten minute walk to Victoria station. Nice quiet neighborhood, ssemed very safe. Breakfast room was wonderful and very convenient to grab a bite before heading out for the day. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. On the down side, rooms 15 and 16 have slow drains in the shower which makes marathon showers out of the question. The bathroom was very teeny tiny. All very nice and well worth the price in central London.
