A 4 star boutique hotel with 48 bedrooms all ensuite. All rooms are traditionally designed and are equipped with all modern amenities. The hotel depects the art of the Victorian era. The hotel provides 24 hour room service and a bar/Lounge. There are butlers to take care of your every need. All standard rooms are ensuite with shower only/ Deluxe rooms have bath and shower and airconditioning. The hotel is a very charming Victorian property bringing you the times of an era gone by.

Staff nice. Bare bone basics. Room in basement. Location excellent, near South Kens tube station and Museum of Nat. Hist. Some problem with noise from neighbors. Room so small couldn't sit well at desk. Some fleas or something that was tickling my legs when i was at desk...

great location for all the sights

this hotel was in the best location. Close to the tube and very safe neighborhood. We were out late a few nights and felt very safe. The rooms are small but everything else was great. Many tour companies will will pickup from this hotel. We had the best time.

To the south kennsington tube station--buy the daily tube ticket and take it everywhere

Gainsborough Hotel London is BAD!

First off, this is not anywhere near a four star hotel. I travel to London frequently and I know that the Brits can accept a bit less in creature comforts than their American cousins, but this was ridiculous. The lobby and exterior are fine, but the interior and the rooms are very poor. They have a number of rooms in the basement of the hotel, and I was unfortunate enough to get one. Very small, with scuff marks all over the walls, broken and stained furniture, a 1920's era bath with poorly functioning fixtures. Cramped, dirty, out of date. The bed was terrible, and if the place wasn't so awful I would have considered sleeping on the floor. I was booked for two nights, but checked out after one to go to a Marriott. A very poor hotel. L'hôtel est très bien situé, à

L'hôtel est très bien situé, à deux pas de l'Institut français et de la station de South Kensington. L'accueil est courtois et, comme souvent, polyglotte (anglais, polonais...). Les chambres simples sont petites et sans fioriture mais correctes ; le site de l'hôtel donne les dimensions précises. Le petit déjeuner continental est standard, on peut basculer sur la version anglaise pour un supplément de 5 £. La connexion wifi est un peu faible. En résumé, un hôtel sans grande surprise à un tarif londonien.

El serivicio del hotel correcto,

El serivicio del hotel correcto, el precio, bastante caro para las pocas comodidades que ofrece. En cuanto a la habitación, decoración rancia, en ocasiones sábanas rotas, y los viernes y sábados bastante ruido debido a que justo debajo del hotel hay un club que no está insonorizado, por lo que en la habitación en la que me alojé podía escuchar la música perfectamente.
