Youneed to fit

There's not lift to rooms on the top floor. The shower bearly fits a person of average size and overall the bathroom was small. By European standards, this can be expected and average. The outstanding feature is the location, in a classic London neighborhood, walking distance to a number of museums and famous shopping. And for more distanced sights, the hotel is near the Underground

nice little boutique, great price and location

Found this place online and was not disappointed at all. It's a short walk from Gloucester Road Station, which you can get to directly from London Heathrow Airport without having to cchange train lines. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and although the room is small, my wife and I didn't mind at all given the price. would definitely stay again if we're back in the area again

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There's a convenience store called Tesco Express near the Gloucester Road station where you can stock up on snacks, because you'll need 'em when all the shops and restaurants are closed early

Nice but simple stay in Kensington

Fifty Four Boutique Hotel is on a quiet street in Kensington, close to the Underground and Museum Row. In that sense, the location is great, but it does take a bit to get to more central areas with bars and restaurants. The room was very small (one where the bathroom door could only open halfway because it hit the mattress) and as it was a standard, there were very few in-room amenities. On that note, the staff was really friendly and accommodating.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel is a short walk away from multiple delicious gelato places and the Serpentine Gallery. Very great location to stretch your legs after a long flight.

Extremely happy

I loved this hotel. It is centrally located right across from the Natural History Museum which is next to the Victoria & Albert Museum, etc. Very close to two Underground stations so you have the key lines covered. Lots of restaurants nearby. This is a safe area for a single, female traveler. I didn't worry about staying here or coming back at night. This is a classic London residence that is about 250 years old but is perfectly restored. This hotel has free wifi, TV, a great hair dryer, and very nice, and clean rooms. Nothing grungy or gross here. I first had a twin room which was very nicely appointed with great linens. Be aware that this is London so small rooms, like the small rooms you can find in New York City, are quite common. The twin is very small but did offer all that I needed. I got to extend my trip and upgraded to a standard double. It was also nicely appointed and just as clean as could be with a small, stocked frig as well. They have a nice lounge downstairs for drinks or sitting. The staff couldn't be more helpful and available. I had sent a million emails prior to my trip and they were answered promptly and completely. They helped me understand where I was going and how to get there as well. I didn't eat in the hotel but opted to investigate nearby restaurants which were diverse and plentiful. Definitely consider this for your trip!

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel is between two underground stations (South Kensington and Gloucester). So pick which station you want to use because it can save you time transferring to different lines to get across London. Also, the Gloucester station has the Piccadilly line that goes to Heathrow saving you a ton in cab far getting to the airport.

Perfect location for sightseeing

I recently stayed at the at 54 Boutique Hotel. It is perfectly situated near some of London's biggest attractions including Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. It is also about a 15 minute walk from Harrods and the Royal Albert Hall. And just a 5 minute walk from the Gloucester tube station. For any late night snacks or supplies just simply take a quick walk to Gloucester Rd to find a Waitrose and a Boots store. The rooms are small which is standard for most London hotels. My room came with small fridge. The bathroom was nice. Overall it was clean and safe.

Luxury accomodation at affordable prices

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I had emailed them earlier with some requests as we were celebrating a surprise birthday. Their email response was quick and everything went without a hitch. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, going out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Location was great with most attractions within walking distance and 2 nearby underground stations. The room was very comfortable and we have nothing but good things to say. We will definitely stay there again
