LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION
the first night we were given a minuscule room, on the fourth floor, with four individual beds. the bathroom water pressure was a trickle. we asked to be moved to another room. our request was accepted and we changed rooms. the second room, on the first floor, was what i had expected : a double bed and two singles. the room was bigger. the shower had water. the room had lovely ceiling molding. it gave unto hogarth road and had a lot of atmosphere. saturday evening we could hear the karaoke bar sound from below our room. the bed linens and towels were very clean. we didn't have the breakfast since we could walk to coffee shops less than a block away. this is a small hotel in the center of london for the adventurous traveler.

Nice, Decent Location, Economical
Cute small hotel with restaurant & bar, one block from the Earl Court Tube Station so easily accessible. Well maintained, small room and small updated bathroom with shower. TV, comfortable, if not luxurious. I'd definitely stay there again.

Rooms are very small
The location was very good to the Earls Court Underground station. Short walk to Sainsbury 24hours for food shopping. The elevator takes forever to go just one floor up. Only one small elevator from 50 years ago or more. Rooms are extremely small. They don't like the pictures that you see online. Even the superior room is the same size but with the different decoration. Just the bathroom of the superior room is a bit nicer. In the showroom there is no place to put your shampoo or anything. The male staffs are not nice as the female staff. The cleaning ladies are so pretty and high class. I could not believe that they just work as housekeeping. There is a tiny small TV in each room which you cannot volume it up from a certain point. The walls are so thin and the TV sound can be heard. The next door guest knocked the door around the 10pm and complained that my TV woke him up and the voice is bothering him which to me volume was not that much high. Not good for children, there is totally NO place for even walking around the room. I had to watch my legs and head to not hit myself to bed or to the TV stand above my head and surrounding wall. There are wooden window at least from 60-70 years ago and I hope you don't want to open them up in summer time. I don't know about the heating system but there was no AC for summer time.

Pleasant stay
We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The rooms are quite small, but not out of the norm for London. If you are going to be doing a lot of siteseeing, then the room is only for sleeping anyway. It is wonderfully close to a Tube station and there are plenty of restaurants near the hotel for a variety of food. There are two internet cafes nearby. The neighborhood is clean, safe and not too noisey.

Unbeatable location for the price
The hotel is a series of old row houses now linked to form a hotel. The location is fantastic. I flew into Heathrow, took the Underground to Earl's Court, walked out the Glouster Road exit and one block to the hotel. From this location I could get anywhere in London with my Travel Pass. Price was excellent and rooms were clean and neat. Staff was helpful. At this price you must know that you will be booked into the garret rooms that were part of the servants quarters on the fourth floor. Larger rooms shown on the website are the family rooms on the lower floors. After six nights I grew tired of the cramped space but the price was too good to pass up. The working class neighborhood is safe and there are many reasonably priced restaurants. The hotel restaurant appears to be expensive but I found the a la cart menu was a bargain. I could get a very generous serving of scrambled eggs, toast, and jam for a very reasonable price. Unlike the states tipping is not the norm. The cleaning staff refused my attempt to tip them. I did tip for help with bags or other special services. A staff member helped me get my bags to the Earl's Court Station and was tipped accordingly.

The London Travel Pass was a wonderful discovery. I bought the six day pass which provided transportation to all six zones surrounding London. I could go to Hampton Court Palace, Windsor, anywhere on my pass. It included admission to many places. You could travel by Underground, bus, or above ground train on the Pass. Order it early so it will arrive before you depart
