Away from the Hubub
We chose the hotel as we wished to stay away from central London. Less than a minute from South Ruislip Station (Central Line and National Rail to Marylebone Station, London), we couldn't have chosen better. Despite being adjacent to the train lines, we were not disturbed by noise (make sure your window is closed "tight"). There is no elevator at the station, either, if you require such a service. Twenty minutes by train to London! Breakfasts were included, and very well presented. The hotel bar is also pleasant. There is a pub right next door and a major Sainsbury's (grocery and clothing).

Long walk from hotel
Short bus ride to Ruislip Manor Station. Across the street from the station is a Wetherspoons Pub (J J Moon), with many fine, inexpensive ales and excellent value food.

Staff was so helpful!
Hotel was great! And staff was very friendly and helpful. However, realize that the 8 miles from Heathrow will take at least half an hour as it is congested city driving. It was easy to find but we were surprised at how long it took to get there. Front rooms are noisy with traffic but back rooms are nice and quiet. Free internet was a nice bonus. Good connection and fast.
