Christmas Trip
A Quickie
The hotel was comfortable and convenient for Heathrow Airport. We were there only long enough to get a couple of hours sleep before we had to head hom to Houston, but I was impressed with the cleanliness, the amenities, and the comfort of the beds. I would definitely recommend this hotel if in the London Heathrow Airport area.

Great place to stay
The hotel is wonderful...couldn't ask for more for the cost of what I pay. Almost absolute cleanness. The only thing is you get nothing for free. You have to pay for everything, and they are very expensive. Even though the hotel is quite near to the airport, they do not run a free shuttle. Instead you have to take the Hotel Hopon bus and it is 4 pounds each way per person. If you order room service, the food is very expensive, and they even charge you for the tray the food comes in. You also have to pay for Internet access whether wireless in the lobby area, or Ethernet in the room. Ridiculous that they charge that much for the service. Still, I would stay there again, but will definitely find somewhere else to eat.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Well the #222 bus takes you to the Uxbridge terminal where there are many stores to shop. Large shopping center, and many places to eat. However, there is a little walk to the bus stop

Very good and very busy hotel.
Very good and very busy hotel. You pay for your parking. Easy hire care return as you are within sight of Heathrow but NO aircraft noise! There is also an airport bus. Food pricy.

Won't stay here again
From check-in to check-out, this was a sub-par hotel experience. I expected much more from a Crowne Plaza. The rooms were dirty, the restaurants were dirty, there was an additional charge for almost EVERYTHING, and none of the staff seemed interested in helping the guests. I have had better stays at cheap motels! Also, the convenience of the location comes at an additional cost if you're relying on public transportation; the shuttle from Heathrow is more than twice the cost of pre-paid Underground fares.

Excellent choice
The hotel is excellent: no noise from aircraft, comfortable room, good dining. The location is just minutes from Heathrow by "Hoppa" bus. The bus fare is about US$6.00, which is too much for such a short trip, but the bus is convenient and runs often.

My London Business trip
I would highly recommend the Crown Plaza to anyone traveling to the UK. The only precausion would be if you plan on spending the majority of your time in London, you may want to find a closer venue, but locations not an issue this is the place to stay. They have great eats, plenty of spirit, and all the creaure comforts for away from home travel.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Very quick and easy to get to Heathrow Terminal 2 and access the trains/underground into London, via Piccadilly line; all the way to Cockfoster's if you like, and easy connections to anywhere else.

Perfect for short holiday or business trip
The Crowne Plaza London Heathrow was very quiet and comfortable. It is easily reached from Heathrow Airport by a two mile shuttle or taxi ride(small fee). The rooms were large with adequate closet space for hanging clothes. There was, however, only one suitcase stand. There was a large desk and work area with internet connection(fee). Also a table with two chairs. The beds were large and very comfortable. Each room has an individually controlled air conditioner thermostat. The bath was large with a combination shower and tub. I arrived on a Sunday mid-morning at Heathrow with a very ill traveling companion. I called the hotel and without hesitation was quicly given admittance to our room several hours before regular checkin. We used in room dining every evening and were more than pleased with the prompt and courteous service. The meals were always cooked exactly as we specified and delivered when promised. I was impressed by how friendly and helpful everyone was. They went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and offer suggestions for sighseeing nd other aactivities. If you don't mind a small commute into London this is the perfect hotel to visit. It does appear to be more of a business oriented hotel being so close to the airport. The seem to cater to the airline personel.I am very concerned with noise levels when I travel and I encountered none of the noisy hallways or loud public areas although they were quite busy. I am looking forward to a return stay at the Crowne Plaza Heathrow this June.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Express Rail and Underground transportation into London is a short shuttle trip to the airport. If you want to take the Express Rail travel time is only abut twenty minutes.I purchased a full day travel card on the underground and traveled all day. This takes about one hour from the center of London to Heathrow but the cost is considerably less.
