For what we paid, it was great!

For what we paid, it was great! The building is currently being refurbished bit by bit, which only added to the quirky side of it (you got to 'walk through walls' where a pane of glass would be, instead of the door. Our room was great - two-levelled. Beds were very good. Lovely bunch of people running it - really helpful and sweet.

Pros -Free internet access if you have laptop. PC for internet surfing available at cheap rate. -Staff is friendly -Location is very good. near to Gloucester station(Tube) -Grocery stores are nearby Cons -Place is a little rundown Overall You pay for what you get. Hotel is stayable.

The hotel requires grand facelift

The hotel requires grand facelift - repainting of walls and ceilings to at least make it look clean and decent and upgrade most of the facilities to an acceptable human standard. The bed frames and carpets should be changed or washed at least. The hotel's location is very strategic and it ca still remain as a budget hotel but cleanliness and functionality of facilities should be given considerations.

One of the worst hotels I've ever

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff fine, and sheets clean, but otherwise the room was grotty and the breakfast a joke. Not worth the money. Next time we'll stay out of london and commute in.

Nice Staff, No Phone in the room

The rooms were clean but there was no phone in the room and a bunch of renovations. The location was great as well.

Adequate but cozy

My brother and I were there to make my sister's funeral arrangements. The hotel and rooms were clean. Rooms were quite small by American standards, normal London size in this price range. Carpet was old. Staff was friendly enough. Street noise penetrated bedroom window at night. Nice light over bed. Excellent location. Sainsbury's supermarket around the corner, 2 good restaurants & a newsstand across the street. 8-minute walk from tube. Walking distance to a few museums, Kensington Gardens, and Hyde Park. Good neighborhood generally. Many similar hotels in neighborhood, plus some new high rise hotels.

Couckroaches,dirty,sticky floor

Couckroaches,dirty,sticky floor in the bathroom,broken mirrors and windows isnt nice!The whole hotel was dirty and we didn feel safe in the room. The breakfast wasn´t good, broken glasses with a weak juice. Bowls with cornflakes on every table and a toast. That is something I could be without!

strongly needing restauration,

strongly needing restauration, and the faciliteis was bad, no hot water, at very dirty everywere. we will never use this hotel again.
