3rd stay at the Corus
The rooms are very simple but if you're not planning on spending a lot of time there it is perfect. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay but nothing extravagant. Breakfast is fine. Rather than including meals every day, this time I pre-bought two breakfast vouchers for a four night stay. It was perfect!

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Turn right on Bayswater Road to Queensway for "late" night take away. And by late I mean up until midnight. Sort of early for Americans traveling abroad and looking for a midnight snack but it works!

Right location, right price!
Our second stay at the Corus Hyde Park didn't disappoint. Same helpful staff, same great value. The location is perfect, across the street from Hyde Park and just around the corner from the Lancaster Gate Underground Station. The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. Some nice dining options within walking distance. We'll be back!

Solid value
A fine hotel to use as a base to explore London. Easy access to the subway and across from plenty of green space in Hyde Park. I found the room to be musty, however, probably due to the carpet needing to be replaced. The air conditioner will cool it down well but cannot really be set to maintain a comfortable temperature at night. The staff was fine but nothing extraordinary; sometimes language was a bit of an issue. Nothing terrible, however.

Great location, room not so much...
The hotel was in a nice location, right across from Hyde Park. The only thing was that we got stuck at the very back of the hotel by the alley, and the walls of the hotel were super thin. We were awakened each night (usually between 2 and 4 in the morning) of our stay to truck deliveries, loud talkers, and cars in the alley. The room itself was nothing special and maybe a little too small, but workable as long as you are able to get sleep.

stop at a grocer and grab an oj & banana & cereal bar for the next mornings breakfast. also a large bottle of water to refill. they can be pricey buying many small ones thru out the day. you can eat on the go that way. there is too much see and do. we also split a some meals, especially fish & chips for lunch. an oyster card is a must!!

Great Location, Good Accomodations
My fiancé and I stayed at Corus Hyde Park for a one night stopover in London during a month-long Western European vacation. We were pleased with the quality of the accommodations; especially for the price (which was better than average in pricey London), we thought that the room, lobby, bathroom, etc. were very clean and modern enough. The location, though, was the best part: right across from Hyde Park and only a short walk away from the Lancaster Gate tube stop, which provides access to basically the entire city for minimal cost. We were able to visit all the major attractions very conveniently. Perhaps our only minor complaint was that the front desk clerk who checked us in was not very friendly and sort of rushed us through check in (which was done in a whirlwind 60 seconds or less). Otherwise, all of our interactions with the staff were very pleasant, and we found the concierge helpful for arranging travel, holding bags, etc. Choose Corus for a comfortable, well-located hotel on a (relative) budget.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Swan, a traditional pub a few doors down, serves decently prepared English favorites (Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, etc.), as well as craft beers. Go there for a quick, cheap meal before you catch your flight or train out of town.

Have stayed at the hotel several times. Central location 200 m from Lancaster Gate Tube, busstops on Bayswater Road. The staff are frienly and helpful. This time breakfast was not included ? Rather expensive English Breakfast. Will be back again.

Convenient location
Corum is very conveniently located, especially if you want to travel from Heathrow, since it is only a 5-7 minute walk from the Heathrow Express train station (Paddington). Additionally, it is barely a block away from Lancaster Gate subway station, which is on the Central line, a line that also includes Bond Street, Marble Arch, Notting Hill and other well known touristy stops. So access to all of London is a piece of cake. It is located right on Hyde Park, right across the street. I was initially given a room that was ridiculously small, but i did not mind, since i was there on business and only for 4 days. But then I tried to shower on the tiny bathroom and I just could not do it! The wall by the shower was angled inward and I could barely stand without holding on to the rail that was on the wall! I had to complain and ask for a room with a real bathroom. Within a few hours the management upgraded my room to nice little room with a full bathroom and Hyde Park view! Very happy! (room 504). Still a small room, and the bathroom could use some TLC, but overall I was very happy. The rooms included a coffe maker and tea, ironing board, iron, trouser press (!), flat TV, desk, mirrors. I did not use any of the restaurants. Rooms facing the main road, facing Hyde Park, can be a bit noisy at night; it's a busy street, even late. There aren't many shops, etc around, but everything is easily accessible via the subway. There was free WiFi in the hotel and the room, but signal was very poor, at times useless.
