Central and quiet

We stayed here for two nights on an extended transit between Europe and home in USA. Getting a decent hotel in London for an acceptable rate is always a challenge. This turned out to be a really good choice. We liked this hotel a lot. It is a bit shabby (peeling wall covering in bedroom, toilet flush handle a bit balky, e.g.). But it is really quiet, despite our room overlooking the tracks that lead to the High Street Kensington station. I am very noise sensitive, so if I say a room is quiet, it is! The location can't be beat. Tube and bus lines nearby, short walk to a Marks Spencer and other stores and restaurants, yet back on a side street away from traffic. The room had a mini-fridge, which is very nice. Chairs in the room were very uncomfortable, but the bed was good. The "guest services" man was rude when we had a simple question about check-out times, but the reception staff were very nice and helpful. On balance, I would definitely stay here again, without hesitation.

Central Location but Quiet

How can you not love being close to Kensington Palace and Park and a tube stop to all of London? Great location. Rooms acceptable. Would have been very nice to have a small, accessible fridge in the room (the only one was the honor bar). Staff, particularly the concieage, were great!

Kengsington

This was our fifth stay in ten years. The Property is always well kept and is wonderfully situated in Kensington. The rooms are well designed and appointed and the breakfast room is sumptuous and serves partially as a bar in the evenings. The hotel is air-conditioned which is a real plus for those of us who need it.

Excellent London location

We have visited London on many occasions and choose to stay in the fabulous Kensington area. We were fortunate enough to purchase Club level at a good price however found Club to be a minimalist experience compared to other experiences. For a little extra effort this stay would have been given a 5 star experience, that being said would stay again

Ideal for London Break

My daughter and I had a lovely weekend in this Hotel. Convenient for shops, High St Kensington tube just around the corner with easy links to all of Central London. We had a room on the 7th floor which was nice and quiet. Bathroom needed a little care - the grouting looked dated. Room very clean and comfortable. Received a voucher for breakfast for £10 each which we used - good selection of items on offer. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Appreciated being able to leave our luggage whilst we shopped after we had checked out. Would certainly stay here again.

Convenient Base in London

Perfect location, close to tube, shops, and Kensington Palace. A short walk to Nottinghill and Portobello Road markets. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Really safe area, lots of people around at night when walking back from the tube. The staff were friendly, especially the guest services staff who were very helpful with information. I will happily stay there again next time I'm in London.

A Good Hotel

The hotel was just right for us. It is in a convenient location for what we wanted - museums and theatre. We booked in advance, so the cost was not prohibitive. The room was comfortable and spacious. All the members of staff were pleasant and helpful, although we found it odd that there appeared to be no British people employed.
