Business and Leisure

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and each experience was very nice. It's a great place to stay for business because you are still very close to all of the site-seeing treasures that London has to offer. PS. Did I mention that every stay I have had a gorgeous view of St. Paul's Cathedral from my window.

Enjoyable weekend

We were three checking in on a Saturday early afternoon. We arrived a bit earlier than the normal check in time but the room was ready so we moved right in. The sofa bed for our daughter (18 yrs) was already made. She said it was a comfortable bed and she slept well. I enjoyed the fact that the room was divided into two areas with the bedroom slightly separated from the living room. My only disappointment was the fact that the hotel is located in the business area so there wasn't much happening on Sunday (not really the hotel's fault) and for some strange reason there was only one light switch for all the lights in the iiving room, kitchen and hallway to the main bedroom. AS our daughter was staying up late to study, the light in the living room bothered us. All of this being said I would definately return to this hotel another time.

Perfect for short stay

I wouldn't want to spend a week here. Rooms are very close together and we could here another guests conversation with his family in a different country - both him and his relatives were heard. Otherwise good experience. Good central location, had beautiful evening walks down to the Thames. A stones throw away from the globe theatre and waking up to st.pauls as a view really can't be bad. Starbucks around the corner, plenty of eateries close by and tube us only a couple of minutes walk.

Lovely city break

I enjoyed my stay at Club Quarters St Paul's very much. The location is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet at night, but it there are some restaurant options nearby. Very easy to take buses or the underground to any location in London. Besides St Paul's cathedral, there many attractions within walking distance of the hotel, including Tate Britain and the Globe, which are just across the bridge. The hotel staff is polite and kind and the hotel is very comfortable.

Make sure to watch a play at the Globe. The standing places cost only 5 pounds and you get a wonderful view of the stage.

Perfect location

Great location, almost on the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral. Room small but has everything you want in it. Automated check-in and check-out meant no waiting for hotel staff. Only issue I would have is that the room tended to get very warm and there was a lack of movement of air. Apart from that, great time.

St Paul's at your Doorstep

The Club Quarters is located 25 yards from the steps of St Paul's Cathedral in London, making it a fine stopping off point for tourist sites nearby. The Millenium Bridge pathway is just a short walk past St. Paul's and the Tower of London about a mile to the east. The hotel is just a few blocks removed form the St. Paul's Tube Stop, providing good access to other more remote London sites. We walked Fleet Street to the Strand for a night out at the theatre as well. The hotel is clean, spacious, and provides a water cooler with refillable bottles on each floor at the elevator, so that we could easily rehydrate before and after a day walking the London sites during the summer months. The air conditioning quickly cooled our rooms and we all slept quite soundly. While not cheap, the hotel is reasonably priced for the location. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and fully modern. We had a great time staying there for two nights over a weekend in the City!

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

The Southwark Cathedral, located across the Millenium Bridge and then down river to the east, offers a free entry and contains a small monument to William Shakespeare. Shakespeare's brother is buried there, as are almost half the actors listed in the First Folio. The back of the Cathedral has a small archaeological site, exposing (now) underground remnants of buildings which formerly occupied the site.
