Updated and better

We have stayed there five or so times, but not since the London Olympics and were delighted to discover that a very nice hotel had become a wonderful hotel. We rejected the first "Studio Premier Apartment" top floor room (two small; dinky window) and were placed on a streetside room on the mezzanine, which was bigger, had a major window and was quiet despite the traffic outside.

London 1st time getaway

Excellent location, nearby all attractions, did not need to access tube or use taxis. Great coffee in the lobby. Breakfast not included but it should be for the price. Kitchen is well stocked but no spices.

Summer Weekend at the Citadines Trafalgar

My wife and I stayed at the Citadines for 4 nights in July. The location is great with excellent access to the most important sites in London. The only temporary problem is the limited access to the Embankment tube station for the renovation. The Studio room is quite alright for a couple, with well appointed kitchen. There is free WiFi, free high quality coffee, still and sparkling cold water. Supermarkets for breakfast and in room dining are close by, as well as tons of restaurants of all types. Overall - great experience, highly recommneded.

center of London

We had a great experience at this location. The reservation for the type of accomodations was not correct from what I orignially booked vs what the Citadines had. However, the Citadines honored the original reservation and was very accomodating. The location was perfect right in the center of London close to all and the facility was perfect. Would recommend highly to anyone.

First Trip to London

First time ever to London and the location could not be better. We went for sightseeing and the hotel was close to many of the sights and 2 tube stations, with different lines, were very close. Also very close to bus stops, restauarants, parks and the Thames. Room was small, but very clean and comfortable. When we go back we will definitely just book at this hotel.

Great location...great place to stay!

We enjoyed at Citadines Prestige just off Trafalgar Square. It was our first time to London and was conveniently located to many of the sights we wanted to visit while there. The room was extremely comfortable and provided us with a quiet, restful place after our busy days of sightseeing. The hotel is also very close to the Embankment Tube station. Definitely would recommend staying at this hotel!

Home away from home

I loved staying at the Citadines Trafalgar Square with its clean modern designed rooms and small kitchens and bar seating complemented by a nearby 24 hour grocery store to help offset some of the costs of staying in London with a few meals or snacks in the room. There is a very nice continental breakfast served downstairs, but be aware there is a 12 pound charge. But really nice was the coffee machine available at all times near the front desk for delicious lattes, hot chocolate and espresso. There are also two computers available free of charge if you don't want to bring your own. The location was ideal, an equally short walk from Trafalgar Square with its many shops and restaurants nearby and the Embankment just across from Royal Festival Hall and the London Eye. It is also convenient to both the Charing Cross and Embankment tube stops. Both the walks along The Strand toward St. Paul's and the south bank of the Thames toward the Tate Modern are full of great sights and people watching. Don't miss a service or concert at St. Martin in the Fields Church just off Trafalgar Square. The sound and setting are magnificent. I would definitely stay here again.

Favorite dining spots were Pizza Express which has very elegant gourmet presentations despite its name and Thai Square on The Strand where people dress up a bit for fine dining in an intimate and elegant setting.
