Exceptional value and recommend, but..
Location big plus. Close to underground (the Central Line). Then it's fairly quick zips most everywhere else (London Tower area slight exception; factoring the underground walk from Bank station to either the District Line/Circle Line connections). Also, took wife for an evening stroll through Kensington Park half a block away; dusk lighting was perfect at Albert Memorial and park seemed well patrolled by cops (if you're on a cane like myself watch out for smaller gate closures at 8:30p or you're walking more than you bargained for to get out). Each day, I was able to wander around sites and make quick trips on tube back to hotel for rest while wife attended her conference. Generally clean, but there were stains on towels and small spot on comforter that were noticed by wife. Room and bathroom were huge for Europe and price. Bare bones furniture of small desk and one straight back chair was okay because I sat on large window sill leaving chair for wife. View of skyline from 6th floor commendable and view of apartments across street felt like nice experience of life among locals 'til around midnight when obnoxious cackling of enebriated girls from street below cut into sleep. A colleague in Rm136 froze first night from poorly latching window even though she used a second comforter from extra bed in her room, but later wedged some folded paper into latch to remedy. This is another hotel that has gone to the dark side with wifi rates and is main reason for my low ranking on amenities (plan on around 12 pounds/24hrs) and breakfast rates disappoint (food tasty enough, but not 10pounds worth when approx same quality and volume can be had at the nearby pub or, we found out last day, at a sit-down restaurant next to London Tower gift shop for half that price). Staff get mixed reviews. Each time that the reception desk lost our faith, management or concierge saved them; from an issue with a simple addition to our invoice for business trip reimbursement to running late because a temporary impasse on street forced us to plan to walk long way around block to the tube and the front desk was again trying to hold us up waiting for their patience-testing, slow printer because, for some unknown reason, they require a signature on a receipt for CASH purchases of breakfast vouchers. Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Tip: had impression the concierges and Polish staff members were always sincerely polite and as helpful as could be.

Keep your eye on side streets and alleys. There are many hidden finds. My first was the good food with great price at the little Italian restaurant (felt like a change) down the alley next to the purple building above the Central Line's: Oxford Circus station. Also, every time you get off at the Westminster station try a different flavor of pancake-in-a-cup (that's just what I call them) at the pancake stand above the station. I wouldn't mind one more chocolate-cream pancake come to think of it.

Small, ill equiped rooms with no A/C.
Although it wasn't very hot out, we had to keep the windows open which let in the street noise, especially the garbage collector at 4:47am, and the construction at 7:30am or so. If you must stay here in warm weather ( not hot), get a rear facing room. Only place to put clothes was in a 12 inch closet. No dresser or drawers of any kind. No shelves in the bath room. Only one small chair in the room so must sit on bed. Tv was mounted so it could only be seen from one bed.

Central Park Hotel
The hotel was well-situated and modern, but service was minimal. They had a concierge, but he didn't help with the luggage. The rooms were nice and clean, but had the minimum of amenities. For example, there were only hard-back chairs and no comfortable sofas. It could be improved. However, I would recommend it on cleanliness and location, but only for people who want only a place to sleep and do not plan to spend any time in the hotel.

This is a good hotel.
This hotel was great for what we needed, a place to sleep and bathe. We read other reviews on this site so we were a little on guarded when booking. When we reached the hotel the staff was very pleasant, and the room was very spacious. It is close to the "TUBE" and easy to get to. They offer a paided breakfast and have a bar in the hotel. In Europe bath tubes are few and far between, so when we saw that there was one, it was a welcome site.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Get off at the Queensway Station. Exit the station and take a Right to Bayswater street walk 2 blocks to the Left. The hotel is on the Left. This is a 5 minute walk. We mistakenly asked the ticket lady at the airport and she had us walking around a while. Not fun with bags.

Room was small and basic but was
Room was small and basic but was clean. I was there for 4 nights and breakfast was dreadful each morning, can't think of anything positive to say about it. Staff impersonal - apart from the lady in the breakfast room who was most helpful and pleasant. Would stay again but have breakfast elsewhere
