- Area description
- A luxury boutique hotel perfectly placed on Sloane Street, The Cadogan combines English hospitality at its best with home comforts reminiscent of a private address. Located in the heart of Knightsbridge - arguably London's premier location, the hotel was once home to Lillie Langtry consort to King Edward VII and the London address of Oscar Wilde. Amidst this bustling city street lies a private garden reserved for guests of the hotel and surrounding residents, fully equipped with tennis courts, this secluded area is a serene escape. At 125 years of age, The Cadogan shares its surrounding streets with some of the finest retail and designer names. Hermes, Cartier, Harrods and Harvey Nichols to name but a few are all a few steps away. Other local attractions include The Natural History Museum; one of the most beautiful buildings in London, both inside and out and the Tate Gallery; housing one of the country's greatest art collections.

Great location but showing wear
The staff were quite friendly and helpful. The room was of good size, but the carpet, furniture and paint are in need of a refresh.

Cadogan Hotel London, UK
Our room was not clean and the furniture was decrepit. The hallway carpeting was stained in many places. The window frames were chipped. The tiny open shaft elevator is ancient and we often had to take the stairs. The phone in the room was filthy and our lights blew out once. I have had friends who stayed at the Cadogan recommend it but they must have stayed there years ago. The hotel needs to be closed for a year and as they say in the UK 'thoroughly modernised'. It most certainly is not a five star property and has little to offer other than its location.

A really super stay here for a
A really super stay here for a weekend. Location absolutely excellent - Knightsbridge close by and Slone Street and the general area is great. The staff were super friendly and top class. The rooms were small enough but spotless. We had breakfasts and 1 meal and quality was very good. We had a problem with the shower the first morning and were upgraded to a suite which was a very nice touch. Will stay again (which is the acid test)

Great place, great location
Wonderful place, very quiet. They upgraded our room after two days because we were having trouble with the wi-fi. So a nice room became a spectacular room. The history of the place is great and the neighborhood was very posh. We knew it was relatively safe by the fact that people had their Aston Martins and Lamborghinis parked on the street! A short walk to Harrod's in one direction, and to Sloane Square in the other. Restaurant good but pricey. There aren't many restaurants close, but Harrod's has a place for sandwiches etc. and there's a good lebanese restaurant there called Esh--order takeaway and it's actually really inexpensive.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Sloane street is great for window shopping, but even with the exchange rate the designer stores are way pricey. The high streets are a better choice for mere mortals.
