Belgravia Mews Hotel London

First they had no key for the room and the clerk had to open the door. It smelled like the sewer overflowed in the hall. The clerk was supposed to bring me a key since without one I could not leave the room without risking theft of my luggage. Thirty minutes later still no key when I heard a cleaning person and asked her to get me a key. Ten minutes later I heard another cleaning person and asked her to get a key and 45 minutes after checking in I had a key. The rug was so filthy and matted it needs to be ripped out and replaced. I wore socks the entire time. The next morning I noticed that the sewer smell had penetrated to my bathroom. There is no place to put the luggage, shelf is perhaps 6-7 inches deep. Enough for water pot & lamp. If I put suitcase at end of bed then I couldn't open the closet door. If I sat on the toilet, I could not close the bathroom door and smells went into the room. Free WiFi wasn't because it did not extend to my room, I had to go to lobby to access it. Returning home I have WiFi charges for 3 days on my credit card. They also ran a charge of 100 pounds on my credit card even though I used none of their services or took meals. It is supposed to be reversed but I am still waiting and working with my credit card company. Only thing that worked was the heater.

Disappointing Shower did not worked Propely and as soon you entered the house it smelled It was not a hotel it was a house with a few rooms Also saying the breakfast was fine but cold

Went on line to book a two night stay in around central London.Came upon this Hotel which was rated about a 3 star in a great location and the best price I could find on line.Booked the hotel room which included FREE WiFi.When arriving to the hotel you have to check in down the block at the Tophams Hotel which wasn't a problem for me.After getting my room key I proceeded to my hotel room.Here's where to my amazement find the door handle ready to come off the door,phone not working,stained carpet and could not get any WiFi signal.After several attempts I could not stand by without bringing these issues to the attention of management.The manager was very professional and friendly and offered an upgraded room immediately without any hesitation at the same price in the Tophams Hotel which is much cleaner and has better quality rooms.I thanked him and accepted the room.I would have rated this hotel a one star but due to the way management handled the situation I rate it a two star.

Typical British breakfast needs some freshening up. Like more veggies would not hurt. Elevator broke down on the last day. toiletries and paper goods in short supply, but, again, the best possible location. Inept, non-English speaking staff.Mr.

room was on basement level. It was smelly and no daylight. Hotel must describe room conditions. If I knew a room was on smelly basement level I wouldn't have booked this hotel. Breakfast was not good either.

First, I was upgraded to Topham's, so this applies to them. They are related to Belgravia Mews, and so it's not out of the question that you'll be put in Topham's when booking the Mews, but don't count on it. Topham's is basically an old towhome converted into a hotel in one of the nicest neighborhoods in London. The rooms are clean, with a sort of elegant/artsy decor, the complimentary breakfast isn't a destination spot but gets the job done, and the staff is to-the-point, yet helpful. If the hotel is a huge part of your travel experience, book the Connaught. If you want a perfectly nice and London-y place to stay that's very centrally located, Topham's is great.

Mukava hotelli ja erinomainen sijainti lähellä Victoria-asemaa, jonne esim. lentokenttäbussi kulki kätevästi. Huoneemme oli alakerrassa maanpinnan alapuolella, ikkunasta näkyi vain ohikulkijoiden kengät, mutta se tavallaan oli eksoottista. Aamiainen oli hyvä perinteinen englantilainen.

3 Nächte gebucht und dabei ein Zimmer im Keller ohne Tageslicht und ohne Fenster erhalten. Von den vorhandenen Lichtquellen im Zimmer haben nicht alle funktioniert. Fernbedienung war keine vorhanden. Die Reservation ist im Tophams Hotel ein paar Häuser weiter vorne. Lage in der Nähe der Victoria Station ist genial. Bis zum letzten Abend konnte man alleine den Zugang zum Belgravia Mews nicht erreichen, es musste jeweils im Tophams jemand darum gebeten werden, aufzuschliessen. Nun erhält (aufgrund der vielen Reklamationen) aber jeder Gast seinen eigenen Schlüssel.

La chambre n'était pas nettoyée à notre arrivée, une autre nous fut proposée mais au sous-sol, de plus la moquette et la salle-de-bains étaient de propreté plus que douteuse, inacceptable dans un hôtel qui mentionne 4 étoiles!!

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war eine Katastrophe! Unser Zimmer sah in ungefär aus wie eine etwas grössere Besenkammer. Dunkel, schmutzig, muffig und ohne Fenster. Das Badezimmer war von oben bis unten voller Schimmel, alles grau (inklusive Duschbrause und Duschwand). Nach dem Duschen kriegte man kaum mehr Luft und musste das Zimmer aufgrund des Gestanks schnellstmöglich verlassen. Da wir in der understen Etage platziert waren gab es nicht einmal im Flur ein Fenster, im Gegenteil dort stank es etwa gleich. Für 60.-/ pro Nacht finde ich dieses Zimmer eine Frechheit, nich habe keine hohen Anspürche aber in diesem kann man sich nicht wohl fühlen. Wir kamen am Donnerstag an und wollten am Freitag sofort das Zimmer wechseln. Sie sagten uns wir müssten am Samstag nochmals anfragen, dann könten wir wechseln. Als wir am Samstag alle Koffer für den Wechsel bereitgestellt haben, vertrösteten Sie uns auf den Sonntag (unser Abreisetag war am Montag Morgen). Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und würde dieses Hotel auf keinen Fall weiterentfehlen.
