A step above the rest

Very helpful and resourceful staff. The room, while lacking bright reading lights, suited my needs with ample audio/video inputs for the tech-savvy. A better stocked self-serve food service would have been appreciated. Nonetheless, overall I would highly recommend this location as it was a thoroughly of high quality with a lovely decor and amenities—including a copy of Wallpaper magazine. Being so new meant that everything was in near pristine condition.

The adjoining restaurant service at Fede was poor and the food was overly salty. Staff seemed unable to cope with the most basic requests. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Excellent Value!!

Stayed two nights at Aloft and were lucky to be upgraded to a larger room on the eighth floor. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a large and well planned room in a city hotel. Can't comment on food as we didn't use the restaurant but as well as the normal restaurant there was also an informal buffet style shop selling fruit sandwiches and breakfast to go. Although based in Canary Wharf DLR station was a minute walk away with easy access to Central London. You do have to pay for parking at this hotel but overall great value for money and I'd return. Two small gripes - temperature of water in pool was quite cold although lovely pool area. Cardboard cups in the room - good for takeouts but I would have liked China! Special thanks to Duty Manager Lionel for the upgrade. Very modern stylish hotel also very convenient for Excel

good location

The hotel is very close to a train station; you can reach Piccadilly Circus in about 30 minutes. The downside is that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, difficult to reach by car and with few and very expensive restaurant not even very close. The only restaurant inside the hotel is not a good one.
