Nice area of London to stay in;
Nice area of London to stay in; quiet bar just around the corner to drink in after a days sightseeing. My room at the back of the hotel had a nice view of Battersea power-plant in the distance. Pimlico tube station just a short walk down the road to the right, or Victoria station an even shorter walk to your left. No complaints about this hotel at all.

Beware of the night porter
The location is not bad, but there are a hundred of hotels, b&b´s on the same area. The room was clean and spacious enough, staff were nice and breakfast wasn´t bad. The night porter however, is another story. When I got there to check in, there was another person waiting in reception for somebody to appear and do the check in. After searching for people, trying to contact them by phone, etc., the receptionist turned up and suddenly got very angry (almost violent I would say) with the other person when he said he had been waiting for 40 minutes in order to do the check in. I don´t know how long he had been there but I certainly had been there for at least 15 minutes before the receptionist appeared. I understand he may had gone to get a bite or something, but his attitude was far from reasonable or appropiate.

i arrived at 10am and was told by hotel staff that check in was not until 1pm. I told them that i was on a tour to Stonehenge that afternoon and would return about 6pm. upon my return i was told that despite my reservation there were no rooms available and subsequently i was sent across the street to their "sister" hotel which was a total letdown. I would look elsewhere for accomodations. It sucked. The place was under renovation, small room with no heat, no hot water. you pay for what you get.

Very good Customer service by the reception staff for all the needs.It is very close to all amenities like Victoria Station ,Bus Station ,local sightseeing bus stand etc.

TALL 4 STORY BUILDING WITH NO ELEVATOR, DIRTY SHEETS, I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG STAY HERE. YOU CAN GET A BETTER HOTEL FOR THE SAME MONEY.

I was surprised at how good the rooms were, even if compact. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast room was a bit small, so leave a bit of time in case it happens to be crowded.

Great location & service
Loved the experience of having breakfast in an international community of travelers; only coffee, orange juice cereal and toast but the location was fabulous, no lift so be prepared. Easy access to the tube and great neighborhood.

relatively cheap & mediocre
This is a very basic hotel, that attempts to provide just the basic essentials. If you care about how the room looks or even if things work, then you may want to find a more trusted & true brand. This is not a find nor a diamond in the rough. However you could say it was a bit Dickensian.

This hotel is disgusting. We
This hotel is disgusting. We woke at 4am to catch an early train and found bed bugs all through the bed and room. This was our first experience with bed bugs and after much research we discovered that they can get into your luggage and hitch a ride home with you. As a result we had to throw out suitcases and wash everything in hot water to ensure we killed them. This was a real inconvenience and the bites were terrible. Further, the hotel has NO lift and 82 steps to the top level - not easy with luggage. There was no offer of help from the guy behind the desk. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere!
