Needs an Update
Staff were excellent and the cocktail bar was brilliant, however the room was in a poor state and looked very tired. Lights not working, loose taps in the bathroom, a loose shower shield and a missing toilet roll holder, made the stay very dissappointing. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment which is sorely needed for the room we stayed in. A pity as it would have been a perfect stay otherwise. Waiting for the hotel to come back to me with feedback regarding the issues I have raised.

Great hotel, location and room comfort! They accidentally charged and credited my account immediately, but the rate was cheaper compared to the price i paid online

Lovely hotel - staff could do better!
Excellent position in the city. Room was not ready and the receptionist was quite rude - kept asking if we had paid,how we had paid and then tried to tell us we would have to pay for breakfast. Worth paying the extra for an executive room but didn't get the promised fruit and newspaper!!

The carpet had iron burns in it;
The carpet had iron burns in it; obviously previous guest(s) had set the hot iron on the carpet and left it burnt - in 2 places! The rest of the carpet was pretty mucky, with ingrained dirt and why oh why, in this age of freeview television, is there just 5 channels to watch, along with eurosport and BBC 24 news? Not everyone stays over just to sleep.... Biggest complaint was the incredibly noisy bed! It squeaked very loudly every time I turned over, so spent most of the night awake....did tell staff on checking out but simply got a sympathetic 'oh sorry'. Overall, the room was ok - apart from the above.

Great location for train station
Great location for train station and city centre. Great service from the staff; clean, comfortable room. Would definitely stay there again.
