Travelodge Gatwick Airport Central

For a " family room" there was only 1 towel. 1 towel? For a family room? A family to me is usually made up of 2 or more so 1 towel isn't going to cut it. The other thing, the 'free wifi' was only working in lobby and restaurant. So what is the point of having free wifi if I can't use it in my room. If I wanted it in my room I had to pay about 4 pounds for 24|hrs. Not a bad price mind u, but why advertise free if you can't use it? The other thing that kind of got my back in a bunch was the picture of a pool on the website. Here telling my 8 yr old son this hotel has a pool and low and behold, no pool. That was a bit of a disspointment. Why show a picture of a pool and not have one? Kind of misleading if you ask me. The no telephone in the room was kind of odd. I had to call my credit card company and couldn't find a phone even in the lobby. The receptionist mentioned that I could use the computers in the lobby, but each one was out of order and same with the bank machine. She mentioned that I could go to the hotel next door and use their internet, but I was kind of put off by that. If I wanted to use their stuff I would of stayed there, but I didn't, I choose you. I don't expect a lot for 20 pounds a night, but come on! The family room also has a double bed and a pull out couch. Bed was made but mattress for the pull out couch wasn't made at all. No extra sheets if I wanted to make it either. Had to share with my son, which was ok but if my hubby was with us it would of been a tight squeeze :) Other than that, the food was great in the restaurant and the staff were very helpful when I needed the extra towels and internet questions.
