This was by far the most expensive hotel on my 9-day trip to the UK. Plumbing didn't work properly, and I wound up taking a cold shower as the hot water took forever to reach the room. Hotel was very ordinary for the high price. We didn't use
the pool. The rooms was not exceptional in any way, except that they were dusty. Internet at 15 GBP per day was outrageously expensive -- no wi-fi. Staff were ok, but not exceptional. Breakfast was served cold and the buffet ran out of plates. By comparison, another US chain (Day's Inn) hotel in the heart of London was first-rate and far less expensive.
Not convenient for city center or rail -- a dangerous 20-minute walk to rail. 30 minutes for city center. You almost have to take a taxi.
