Located in the City Centre of Gloucester on the edge of the Cotswolds, with close links to the M5 and just a 10 minute walk to the train station. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, locally renowned for the stylish restaurant offering a varied range of menus, and a contemporary bar to relax and unwind. Plus excellent parking rates and the NCP located on Longsmith Street which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The Cotswolds area is one of England's favourite destinations, famous for hundreds of honey-colour limestone villages in a beautiful rural setting. Attractions in the area include, Berkeley Castle, Blenheim Palace, Broadway Tower Country Park, Cheltenham Racecourse and Art Gallery & Museum, Cotswold Falconry Centre, Water Park, Wildlife Park and Gardens, Motoring Museum and National Trail, Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Kelmscott Manor, Longleat, Lodge Park, The Model Village, Roman Baths, Rodmarton Manor, Sudeley Castle, Thermae Bath Spa, Upton House & Garden, WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Winchcombe, Woodchester Mansion, Go Ape and Clearwell Caves. The restaurant offers you a wide range of menus using locally sourced ingredients that will satisfy your dining needs all through the day. Breakfast is served from 7:00AM-10:00AM with a wide range of hot and continental choices including Danish pastries, croissants, cereals, breads and jams plus smoked salmon and scrambled egg parcels. Lunch offers a selection of dishes and light snacks for you to enjoy. Dinner is served from 5:00PM-9:30PM with a fantastic choice of starters, main and dessert courses. You can even put together your own pasta dish by choosing up to two meats, 5 other accompaniments , all served with fresh fettuccini and a sauce of your choice. lovely hotel

They were obviously updating things and keeping things fresh and clean. Close to the cathedral, too, so an easy walk to the major tourist sites. Staff helpful and nice.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Gloucester Cathedral is not to be missed. Also, even if you aren't Church of England, just listening to the choir during services was lovely.
