This hotel was very pleasant, and the staff was great. The workout facilities were excellent, the room was comfortable although a little small. I would have liked wash cloths, but other than that, I really had no complaints. After staying in other
hotels on the same trip, I really appreciated that the rooms were sound proof; we had no hallway noise even though we were right across from the elevators. The design of the common areas was cool, and my 5-year-old loved the elevators!
Big room, nicely appointed, no water pressure in shower, facing a demolished building, traffic audible from 3rd floor. Outstanding large pool in fitness center which was also large, well -equipped and easy to access. Nice staff, great
housekeeping, clogged sink drain (never fixed in three days), desk light short (never addressed). Beds were odd- not as small as regular twins, but not really comfortable.
This was our second visit, and while we arrived by 6:15 PM, the only room left apparently was on a smoking floor. The front desk said nothing about it being a smoking room, and when we told them the room reeked, sent staff up with a completely
ineffective air refresher. When we checked out, telling them that we and all our belongings were permeated with the smell of smoke and it had been a bad night due to the air quality, the (different) person at the front desk then explained the smoking floor set -up , apologized for the oversight of not explaining so at check-in and refunded the cost of the room. That was the right thing to do, and we appreciated the gesture. But had we understood this at check-in, we would have asked to make another arrangement.
