The room was a decent size and was spotless but needed several small repairs. The closet doors needed some attention as did some of the wallpaper seams. There was a nice new looking showerhead which looked great. However when I went to use the
shower, I realized that someone had put the holder for the shower head upside down so that when you used the shower the head fell off and you had to hold it by hand! The staff were very friendly and I would probably use this hotel again. It was very reasonably priced and clean and iwth a few minor updates would live up to the tree star rating. Don't book this hotel if you are looking for a beautiful facade, the outside is the uglyiest hotel I have ever seen! If you can get past that this would be a great base for a trip to the west coast of Scotland.
