Dining

Elliot's Restaurant & Bar
Elliot's Bar Restaurant is a well thought-out bar and adjoining brasserie-type-affair, another Bath Street subterranean drinking affair. This one's aimed at the more tailored boozer, well presented in bright red details over black ash and crisp white linen. The menu spans the globe with some interesting options for a mid-price lunchtime bite.

Courteous and friendly staff will make sure that you and your friends or family have a good time and a great meal. All food is freshly cooked to order and only the finest seasonal produce is used. The speedy service and excellent value make it an ideal dining stop prior to a show or as a night out in itself.

perfect retreat after a long exciting but tiring holiday

Absolutely awsome compared to a lot of other places we stayed during our long vacation. It was just what we needed to spread out in and repack all our luggage and really relax before our long flight home to Tasmania, staff and room could not have been nicer, really excelled our expectations.

Location excellent, small single room at a small price

The single room is small, but if you want to spend your whole day in the the room then go to Hilton et al. to get a suite. Radio&TV plus coffee making available in room and also a nice shower - that's really all you need for a weekend in Glasgow - train station around the corner - 200 m or just walk to Sauchiehall Street. Breakfast may be extra - ca. 9 GBP if B&B was not elected.

We had two rooms with three in and both rooms were large, individually quirky & had everything you need. I would rate it higher than a 3 star. Large bathroom & good shower. All staff were very obliging. Well done Best Western! xx

Quiet location, small bed

The location of the hotel is excellent. About 20 min walk from the Glasgow city centre, no noisy bars anywhere near the hotel. This is really important in Glasgow, the bars are so loud you can't get any sleep if there's one across the street. The 1-bed room was small but clean, but not a place where you'd want to spend lots of time. It's just for sleeping. The only real complaint was the bed, which was really short. I'm 5'10" and I had to sleep in it diagonally, or my feet would've dangled outside the bed. Not a huge problem as it was a double bed, but it was a bit annoying. Wifi was ok for emails but not fast enough for streaming or skype calls for example. So if you need a quiet hotel where you can just crash after a long day of enjoying the sights and sounds of Scotland, and don't mind a 20 min walk to the centre, consider this hotel.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Two little shops are quite close to the hotel. Just go up the hill and you'll see one of them. British shops sell basic medicines which is really handy.

Good location

While location was good and staff was okay, it was lacking. No elevators. Bedding did not look clean.

Fab Girly Night Out!

Rooms were perfect, concierge was brilliant in helping us and very friendly. Thought we were far away from the nightlife but concierge pointed us around the corner and had a great night! Only concern was the toilet backed up and was a little whiffy, but overall a very luxurious, cute hotel. Planning on returning in May!

Excellent for city break

Staff very helpful and friendly.. Room very comfortable. A good location for the city centre. Train station very near if you wish to travel outside Glasgow. Just a pity that the hotel had trouble with the water supply during my stay! All in all, a lovely experience. Would stay there again.
