I booked this hotel based on the fact that it has a shuttle to Gatwick. When I arrived at the airport the receptionist rudely told me that they have discontinued the service. Taxi to the hotel from the airport cost be 20 pounds each way! That was
more than the cost of the hotel room!
This is the 4th or 5th time I have stayed at this hotel when passing through Gatwick, and for the first time my expereince wasn't so good.
The room air onditioning wasn't working which meant the room got quite warm. Also the carpet in the room
was dirty and in need of replacment.
It is however still good value and very convenient for a one night stop at Gatwick.
For an airport hotel, this one is hard to beat. It is in a good location and although small the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The only thing that lets it down is the food. On the night I stayed one restaurant was closed, the other offered
nothing but a Mexican buffet and the bar food seemed to be reheated frozen food. Given that this hotel isn't close to anything, the lack of decent food options was a disapointment.
