Our traditional Victorian style hotel, dating back to 1864, is situated in the centre of the famous Leas. As such, guests will overlook the English Channel at BEST WESTERN Clifton Hotel, as our friendly staff oversees their every need! The view's just as impressive inside, with 80 well-furnished bedrooms, five comfortable meeting rooms, a relaxing restaurant and an inviting bar. Business and pleasure are catered here in style, in a peaceful location just ten minutes from Folkestone's town centre, and close to the M20. The Eurotunnel is just three miles away for those who want easy access to the Continent and Dover is only seven miles from the hotel should you prefer to set sail from another famous port town!

The single room with view overlooking the sea was cosy and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. I was delighted to have the same room on my return a week later - shows consideration and thoughtfullness of the reception staff.
breakfast was very good, waiter service.
Hotel is situated within walking distance of the town center and parking outside for £1 a day!
Should I again travel to GB by car, perhaps with the grandchildren, the hotel will be on my list to book as the proximity to the Dover crossings is easy and well signposted.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Very near the town centre and ideal for last-minute buys (e.g. toiletery, cheese, biscuits, etc.) in supermarkets. There is a huge ASDA in the centre and equipped with everything one needs - the staff are very pleasant and courteous too - closes late which is ideal as I arrived too late (after 5.0 pm) to visit the local shops.
