The location of the hotel is very good, and it has a very relaxed and informal feel. Perfect for those looking for a traditional Scottish Townhouse hotel. (KB 07/08) This is a traditional building, built from three Georgian houses. Set back from main street, it is perfectly located on a secluded cobbled side street. Parking is available at the nearby shopping centre car park, or alternatively limited spaces are available outside in the evenings only. This hotel is located in the heart of Edinburgh on Calton Hill with panoramic views over the Forth Estuary or Arthurs Seat. On a clear day it is possible to see the mountains on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. It is located in the centre of the city providing easy access to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood and the shops located on Princes Street.

Location is really great. You

Location is really great. You can walk in 5 mins to almost all attractions. The service was excellent. Friendly, helpful. Parking was easy, if on street, and free for the weekend. The single malt in front of the open fire at 23:30 was the icing on the cake, shame Scotland didn't win the rugby but sometimes in life you can't have everything.

Excellent location at a reasonable

Excellent location at a reasonable price. Staff are all very friendly and willing to assist you. Rooms have all amenities: TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer. My room had a bath but only a hand-held shower attachment. Facilities are basic insofar as there is no public bar but hotel is clean, tidy and is maintained in good condition.

This is an excellent boutique

This is an excellent boutique style hotel in central Edinburgh. I paid £75 for a twin room which in central Edinburgh is very competitive. The room was small but finished to a very high standard. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful and service was good. The public areas are beautiful and in keeping wih a Georgian property. There has been some updated to the fabrics and soft furnishings and this just adds to the overall feeling of quality. I would stay here again.

Great Place to Stay

The hotel is a five minute walk from the bus station so you can take a bus from airport and then walk. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Restaurant food was good and staff very nice. Quiet. Short walk to a lot of great sights and restaurants. Safe location. I'd stay again.

It is located close to the station

It is located close to the station and Calton Hill. The room was very clean and has bath tab and shower. Breakfast service was very nice. If they have had an internet on their own, it would be even better as there are not so many internet cafe in Edinburgh.
