Great Location
Great view or will be once street work completed. Food rather pricey but well cooked and served hot. Breakfast offered is good and well stocked. Rooms are comfortable but show some wear. Had a wonderful stay and was close to all attractions, shopping, buses and tours.

Great Just what we wanted
Everything went ok and the information we got from Bookers was exactly was spot on. The room was spacious and very easy to relax with very decour. Breakfast was marvelous, the choice of everything. We spent hours staring across at the castle this filled us up for the rest of the day. We had lots of shops on both sides of the hotel. Staff were very friendly . We would definitely return to this hotel

If going during Christmas Market Time ask for a room at the back of the hotel, because the noise is pretty loud.

Good Location
The Hotel was fine. However, I did not like the fact they would not provide me with a receipt. They said because I booked through an outside agency, the agency would have to provide me with a receipt. I find that unacceptable. It would have been very easy for them to print out a copy of my charges. I don't think I'll stay here again.

All-Around Average
This hotel is right down the street from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, and is also right next to the train station and bus stop, so it definitely gets points for location. That's about all I'd give it points for, though: the room was small and cramped, it stunk of tobacco smoke, the shower didn't work correctly, and the internet access was an astonishing 12 quid per night. The breakfast was reasonable -- standard continental fare and English breakfast were served -- but it started to get old after a while and I found myself wishing for something a little more healthy to eat. Overall, this place was simply average and, I believe, not really worth what I paid to stay there. For a hotel right on St. Andrew's Square, they really could have upped the bar and made it a classier place. Definitely not the worst hotel I've been in, but I don't know that I'd stay there again.

Take the AIRLINK bus from the airport. It stops right on Princes St. (about a block away from the hotel), or you can take it to Waverly station and walk from there.

When I initially arrived I was given a very small dingy room which looked out onto a brick wall. After requesting a move the staff were more than pleased and helpfull to assist. The location is excellente, would recommend it to anybody wanting to sightsee in the city as it is very central..
