very clean, bed comfortable, tiolet clean but shower was very claustrophobic. The dinning room was comfortable and the service was good with a good choice of food. Staff very friendly and helpful. the hotel itself is in a good location for the
centre of edinburgh, only down side is there is no lift but would still stay there again.

How do you like living in a dorm?
The hotel itself is in a reasonable location, quite near downtown less than 10 minutes to High St, and 10-15 minutes to the palace at Holyrod and the approach to arthurs seat. It is clean and affordable, and the rate includes breakfast which has a
good mix of vegetarian options.
However, don't think these are hotel rooms. These are converted dorm rooms, and have very minimal shower facilities, and at least in our room, the bed did not face the tv. Probably single occupancy rooms don't have this problem. The location was good for us 10-15 minute walk from train station, maybe a little further to the castle. But, the room was utterly lacking in character, and using the shower made the whole bathroom sopping wet and gross.
