Hot-el-apartments Edinburgh Waterfront

The accommodations were clean & spacious with fantastic views. 20 minute bus ride from the center of Edinburgh with the bus picking up right outside. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in Scotland this was excellent value for money and could sleep up to 8. 2bed/2bath luxury flat. Full kitchen.

High standard accomodation with easy access to city centre - regular bus service £1.20 regardless of journey length

Once we had located the apartments we had problems finding out how we could get hold of the keys to the apartment, this piece of information is not included within the details they give you. When we phoned up to find out how to access the apartment, etc we found out the staff didn't really seem to know how to direct you to the cafe they were based in as the directions weren't very helpful. Once we had been given the keys to the apartment I was disappointed to see that the car parking space in front of the apartment had not been completed and the were pieces of rubble and nails, etc, this has resulted in us gaining a nail within one of our tyres. Upon entering the apartment the fact that is was clean and seemed good was unfortunately overshadowed by the very strong smell of cooking from previous occupants, no amount of air freshner or fresh air could get rid of the smell and after a while it became very sickly. On the whole the apartment was good, it was clean and presentable, I wouldn't plan on cooking anything there as unfortunately items such as frying pans had been abused by previous occupants and had not been replaced afterwards. The one thing I didn't like was having to remove your own rubbish, this had to be taken down to the basement, the key to come back up didn't work so we had to exit the basement through the car park entrance, not great when you need to check out by 10.00 am.

excellent accomodation - easy access to the city

Very Friendly Reception Staff. Excellent Location. Only difficulty was moble phone reception fot T mobile was very poor - Have stayed in other aprtments in same block but on a different side and reception Ok. Wi Fi for computer excellent though. Will definately stay again.

On the harbor with great ocean view, but easy bus rides into all the Edinburgh locations. Modern, comfortable rooms.. 2 good baths and a kitchen

Very easy if you have a car, although there is a bus stop right outside if you want to use public transport. Lots of space - we only used one of the two bedrooms. Kitchen equipment very basic, but adequate for an overnight stay.

The apartment was very clean and was close to a supermarket so very convenient. New building & the only dissapointment was that there was construction that blocked some of the view of the Firth of Fourth. Not far from downtown Edinburgh by car and very close to the Royal Yacht Brittania that is moored in Leith.

these are new apartments and are the worst built i have ever encoutered. some lights didn't work; there were exposed wires; the elecrritcal fittings had not been finished properly; the cheapest materials and furniture had been used. the garage was not kept locked so security was poor
